We are going to call our new little one Mystery for now since we don't know boy/girl yet. Got him out very briefly for a couple of quick pics before the first feed/weigh-in. Took his first meal like a champ and is happily in his warm hide now. Here are his first official pictures with us.

Really we'll actually. He seems quite inquisitive is out and about in his viv more frequently than our other guy. When I was holding him he seemed quite calm and took his meal without hesitation. (I am referring to it as a him for now because most of our critters are male so it is easier to assume he is too for now.

Lovely! That snake is going to be just stunning, have fun watching him/her grow!!

Update:

We are pretty sure "he" is a "she", though not 100%. Her name is now Sunny and she is doing quite well. Didn't shed for a bit and then just did two in a row and you can really see the changes. Here are a couple of pictures...

Here's a link to gender explanation with photos by Kathy Love.http://www.cornutopia.com/Corn Utop...CornUtopia/Sexing corns collage - CAPTION.jpg

Just from the glances I am getting in these pictures I am guessing female because the tail seems to taper quickly at the vent and is rather short.

If you can take a picture of your snake's tail ventricle side up that could be helpful! Also visual confirmation is not as accurate as probing or.. testing out a pair!
