NARBC: Tinley Park - who's going?

Dragonling

Doesn't do "casual"
I really want to go to NARBC in March, but I am vehicle-less and doubt the boyfriend will have much fun tagging along. I want to get a vip ticket so I'll be there with all the vendors setting up and everything. Is anyone around the Dayton, Ohio area planning to drive or anyone passing through the area on the way that has room for one more?

Bumping this since Tinley is coming up quick! I'm still planning to go, and boyfriend has decided to join in. Who else is gonna be there?

Me me me! :D

(I only had one "me", but it was kicked back for being too short)

Oops, I missed that you were looking for a ride! When I clicked on the link it only took me to the last post. No can do on the ride because I'm already here.

Added: here's the link directly to the show for anyone interested.

I'm not planning on doing the VIP thing at this time. I buy my ticket online and then just go to will call to pick it up. The will call line is usually much shorter, especially for us non-VIPs.

I'm going to try to go! It's only 3 hours from me. And it's around my birthday, so I think it should be a birthday present to myself lol.

A new job has pretty much killed Tinley and herping Snake Road for me this year. Tinley would definitely not be a snake show for me, but rather very much a gecko expo for my needs.

That said, I'll be at the Arlington show end of this month for anyone reading this regarding NARBC in general.

The October Tinley is the one to go to, trust me!
I was able to go to the October one a few years back. Per friends who have been vendors for both, the Oct one is definitely the better of the two.

Agreed on October being the bigger show. That being said, the spring is still great. I've also noticed that there are more vendors at the show than what's on the vendor list on the web site. The vendor list looks very promising and it just gets better from there.

jI wish I could go! But we spent so much on our Sanibel vacation that everything else was off the table, including the spring Snake Road trip. Then we had an unplanned expensive long weekend in GA last weekend for the foster dog to take a temperament test, so now there's no possibility of anything till Snake Road in the spring.

I went the same year Heather did, though, and it was a blast.

Yes! It was so good to meet you, Rich, Angela and Randy in person!
I wish I had more time to hang out with you guys!

I got to meet a lot of people I knew from online at that show.

I know that at least part of the time I'll be working the Chicago Herpetological Society booth tomorrow. Feel free to stop by!

Welp, I caught this thread after the fact and missed you all at the show, but I was there for a few hours this past Saturday and it was great. It seemed like there were more vendors than I remember from the last time (though I could be imagining things, it's been a couple years). I didn't pick up any reptiles (I've cut myself off from purchasing new reptiles for a long while), but I did get a few supplies and got to see all the animals.

Sorry I missed you on Saturday ZoologyGirl. The fall show is bigger than the spring show. I also was only shopping for supplies and working in the Chicago Herp Society booth. I was holding and showing a corn snake most of the time so I had a blast.
