It's not a cornsnake... and it doesn't look like a snake I have seen before. Maybe a bull or Pine snake.. maybe a hybrid of the 2 or something else? I wouldn't say any rat snake either...

NOT something that I can name, but I'd rule out bullsnake (along with corn snake) due to the more angular/pointed nose. That nose shape would lead me to believe some sort of ratsnake actually . . . :shrugs: Definitely, definitely not cornsnake.

Eh after looking at all of Dean's african house snakes I disagree.
I'm agreeing that it's also a ratsnake...just not sure what kind.

This looks like a European Rat snake

It might be a Leopard Rat, Elaphe situla. or a Dione Ratsnake, Elaphe dione.
I am not a 100% sure on this though. Your photos are not that good and its hard to really see and compare.
Here is an oldword ratsnake website.

I don't think the head is right for a rat snake. Don't look at the pattern on the back, African House snakes are highly variable. But look at Deans snakes and then look at the head. I still think its an AHS.

Sit those dancers back in the chairs against the wall, Wade. :grin01:

Diadem snakes are not house snakes. They're not even in the same genus. (Diadem snakes are Spalerosophis; house snakes are Lamprophis.)

Diadem snakes have a reputation for high aggression. :angry01:

Looks like a diadem to me too, looks like its got its young colours too

definetely not any house snake:rofl:, for a million reasons, and definetely not a leopard either:rofl:
