New additions to the family, of the furry kind.

Tavia

Elemental Exotics
It's official, I'm certifiable! We had decided that we wanted to add another cat (or two) to the family and finally settled on getting two kittens. Went to look at a litter today but unfortunately they only had three left of a litter of five and I couldn't chose between them and didn't like the thought of one being left alone, so they all came home with me.
This guy is my special buddy and was good with the camera. He decided that my back and shoulders were a great place to explore and take naps on.

Then the other two didn't want to cooperate with getting pictures taken, so I just have this one that their previous family took for me.

So cute, I remember when my Rosabelle was a kitten 14 years ago. Congratz on the adorable new additions. Yes 3 is always better than 1 ^^

Thanks! I'm sure I'll be regretting this in a few weeks while I'm tearing my hair out trying to ride herd on the three little terrors! They met the dog this morning and that went well, the big hurdle will be slowly getting Katara, our other cat, used to them. She finally saw what is in that room with the closed door this morning too and has been sulking ever since. I'm very rusty with the camera but did get a few new pictures of them.

Now to come up with names! Nothing good is coming to mind. Thinking I might name the creamy orange one Trouble but will have to see if it sticks. No idea on the other two though. They are all boys.

Well, I think we have names for the new kittens now. The little white faced tabby is tiny, must have been the runt, he talks non stop and is the first one into trouble. So the name Miles suggested itself to my husband, and by process of elimination, that makes the other tabby Mark and the light orange one Ivan. You get a gold star if you can name the book series that's from!

They are so cute! How old are they...I was wondering about the eyes on the two darker kittens. Seeing the third eyelid when they are awake can be a sign of illness...such as stomach issues.

I only see the third eye in the pictures of them either going to sleep or waking up, which is normal. If the third eye stays there after they wake up and start playing then I would be more worried.

Yeah, I've only seen the inner eyelid when they are going to sleep or waking up, not when they are active. I'll be getting them an appointment with the vet for their shots and to schedule them to be neutered on Monday, so they should have a check over in a few days. I'm not completely sure when the vet will want to give them their shots, but I imagine within the week. Also depends on when she can get us in. But they seem to be in good health, eating solid food, drinking and using the litter box well and normally.

They look really healthy and so freaking cute! Yea, I don't see it in any of the pictures of them awake and playing. Little Fluff balls!!! I love the names by the way and I can't think of where they are from!

I was hoping more people would get the reference but so far only one of my relatives has and she cheated and Googled it. I'm going to leave it unsaid for a little longer to see if anyone else knows though.

I don't know, off the top of my head what the names are referenced to, without cheating. LOL

I was thinking naming them after the Three Muskateers. LOL

I'm not seeing the third eye either. I was curious & went & double checked. Other than when they look like they're just waking up or going to sleep, I don't see it. *shrug*

Anyhow, they're super cute!

They don't look old enough to neuter yet. Usually that's done at 6 months of age or after. They are cute little munchkins!

The names are from The Vorkosigan Saga by Lois McMaster Bujold. It's a very good series, it's billed as SF but has a bit of almost everything in it.
