I'm glad she warned me of his speed; he's a little maniac. :)
LOL, yes after removing his water dish and stuffing his deli with t.p., trying to get him back in there was like trying to get one of those prankster spring snakes in the tin can. I imagined that with out the warning, taking him out may have the same likeness. :grin01:

After seeing these for myself in person, I am not impressed with babies at all. They are ugly as sin!

Personally I think hatchling blizzards are the ugliest as babies! lol Especially in a group! :grin01:

But like most corns they definitely improve with age!! lol I can't WAIT to get mine! lol

Congrats on the baby Dean! He's lovely! Can't wait to see him all "growed" up!

*Meg adds ANOTHER corn to her wish list*

Or has it...

I know this guy at Daytona who had a few of them for sale and they were called Ashy corns.

I think the name game is still not settled.:grin01:

Thanks for the great comments, folks. :D

The warning was appreciated. I opened his deli inside another tub. Good thing too. The second there was an opening, BOING, and he was out before I could grab him. Reminded me of my house snakes when they were little. :)

Now did we use another one of those fantabulous 20"x20" boxes with 19x19" of foam? ;)
It was another great packing job. The box wasn't that big, but the insides were complete styrofoam (the good stuff too, not the crumbly, white, cheap stuff) with a little round hole in the middle just big enough to accommodate the deli cup. When Carol packs a box, she means BUSINESS! :grin01:

Oh I agree, but I think the "Z"-based names are history... :( In my mind, they will always be Zs.

Well, Carol and Rich Z. have seen a lot more of these than I have, and I've never seen an adult in person. I don't even know if you can say that they "color up". They may lighten a little, but the biggest effect seems to be that they're pattern fades out allowing ground color to leak in. My '06 was a little lighter than this new one as a hatchling. Below are photos of her at the same weight as the new one, and a semi-current photo of her. From the photos I've seen of adults, they seem too highly variable to make general predictions about them (especially in terms of coloration). :shrugs:
She's looking pretty good! I was wondering if they start off looking pretty normal, then start to fade? That would be a pain sorting a het X het clutch, lol...

LOL. Course not, that last shipment was in the wintertime silly. :) Temps allowed me to take it easy this time.

Just wanted to add...
I've only received one package (so far;) ) from Carol and it was one of the best packing jobs ever!

It could be worse....there are those that throw a snake in a box and send it....

Don't remind me! I got two yearling snakes last year from Florida. I opened the box to find lots of crumpled newspaper and the two snakes, crawling around in it.
