New Bass!!

Not sure how many musicians are on here, but I thought I'd share some pictures of a new guitar I just picked up!

:D
Josh

Nice, I have a 5 string that I got from a buddy a couple years ago. I don't really know how to play well, but I have fun with it...

We play alot of different stuff, but mostly older rock. Led, Sabbath, Motley Crue, Tesla, Firehouse....70's and 80's rock. My father in law is lead guitar and used be the head sound technician for the Oakridge Boys and Motley Crue for a little bit.

Ah....

Where are those made these days?
Great lookin bass. I love the Sunburst finish.
I have a 1984 Yamaha BB1600. I took the Jap crap out and installed Seymour Duncans.
A 1985 Yamaha BB5500 neck through body....sweet bass.
A G&L SB-1 I bought used in 91. Maple board, sounds like a piano.
I found in a pawn shop a G&L L-2000 with a guitar Shalar bridge. Talk about a piano sound.

Nice...this one is made in China...but it's one of the higher Squier lines...the real crap ones are out Indonesia now...
I just traded a Squier Fat Strat for some store credit and walked out with this today for $150...normally $229 I think.
Anything with Schaller on it is A+++ stuff. They made THE original Floyd Rose. My father in law plays a 1989 Kramer Floyd Rose Sustainer Guitar. It has the Schaller Floyd, and a sustaining pickup. It. Is. Awesome.

I may also end up switching these p'ups out, but since I just got it, I can't say for sure. I'm playing through my Boss GS10 Processor right now...haven't tried it on my GSP-21 Pro (which is mounted in my rack) or through my Behringer Ultrabass 300W yet. But anything seems to thunder out of that thing....

China, Indonesia?

I remember Mexico. Wow, they really went abroad.

My L-2000 was one of the last (meaning years) Leo Fender made by hand before he sold the name off.

I saw this at Sea World and almost bought it. But the price was a bit to high.

Haha...no Squiers are made in Mexico right now that I know of...
Fender has their Made In USA line and then their Made In Mexico (MIM) line that are the better ones than mine...but I didn't wanna drop that much money.

Wow! Thats a nice bass. I've had my bass for about 2 year now. Not a pro, but I know the basics. I play in my church's band. Nice one!

Man Josh, it sure would be fun to jam with you. I'm no bassist, but I had a great 1973 Ric that I wish I still had when I needed it. I've got a Peavey Grind 4 string just in case I need it, but I feel weird playing on those big ol' strangs! You can kinda see it in the back of the rack here:

Wow Eddie...play much Les Pauls? lol

Nice stack...I am actually a guitar player at heart, I've just picked up in the last year or so.
My father in law, Wayne, has a DSL2000 head that he sent into Voodoo amps and had re-circuited. 4x12 cab with Celestion Vintage 30's and the hotplate from THD....gotta be able to them tubes without bleeding from the ears!

Josh, actually that amp is a clone. It was a handwired 50 watt plexi kit from metroamps. There is no master volume on it hence the need for the hotplate. I loaded the cabinet with 2 greenbacks and 2 anniversary celestions. My favorite Les Paul is my '57 Black Beauty Custom reissue, but it didn't make the pic. Love those things!
