Finally! Here they are: First, Maizey exploring Maizey's cage. I still need to drill holes for the thermometer probes, attach the UTHs, put in shavings, find Maizey another hide, get some vines, but you can get an idea.

WOW! Thise are pretty awesome setups! Any snake would feel like a King(or Queen) living in castles of such proportions...

It occurs to me that if Jake doesn't feel like coming out, Jake won't be coming out!

Thanks Chris! At least one snake living here will feel like a King! This time, the windows on the sides are permanently attached. There are also fluorescent lights up in the ceilings that you can't see in the picture. I need to get a powerstrip with day/night so the lights can be on in the evening. I think they look great.

NICE cages... I really like them! If those were just one taller cage, that would be such an awesome sweetpea setup!

You can order them however you want. I think a taller cage would be great for Addy, too. She's really a climber.

You should have seen me trying to get Jake's branch in. It wouldn't fit straight through- it was like trying to get a sofa around a corner! Finally I figured out how to put the space in the center of the limbs up with the lip of the door in between, but then it was in upside down, so I had to do it over right side up, but it didn't go through the door as easily, but I finally got it in.

Jake is my Christmas snake. He is a present from my now-ex BF. I was sort of looking at custom cages, because a home insurance refund was burning a hole in my pocket, but couldn't decide, then ran across Jake, and really, really liked him, so ordered the cages big enough to fit him, and agreed to purchase Jake the same day. Now the cages were originally promised to be here by the middle of February. There were delays. Then the cages got here a month ago, and both were broken. They got sent back, and replacements were built, and meanwhile Jake was brumating and waiting patiently up in Maine. Jay and PJ, his sellers, have been very graciously understanding about delay after delay, and they just keep feeding him and telling him stories of his ancestral home. When he gets here (next week???) he will have a big announcement party. Lila is due to arrive a week from tomorrow, also.

We're working out the details. Either end of next week or the beginning of the next. Finally!! I'm excited about Little Lila Jane, too! Jake is going to be in for culture shock...I wonder how he is going to like being a "pet?"

Hey, does anybody know if it is _really_ true that you can just drill holes right through the cage plastic, for cords to go through? That's what the manufacturer told me, but I'd hate to do any damage.

Very, very nice Naci! That's definitely bigger then the 30 breeder we have him in. I showed him his new home and he was in awe. I thought I heard him singing...........
