Hello all,

I got this Snake for my son for his birthday.
I'm fairly sure that he's just a Normal Corn, but if you have any info you can give me just by looking at this picture I'd sure like to find out more about him.

:cheers: Welcome! That looks like a nice little normal corn. The colours will change as it grows, more reds, oranges and yellows should fill in. The belly may stay bold white with black checks, or it may have the other colours appearing there too

He was definately the darkest one at the store, he had the least amount of red/orange. He is the one my son wanted so we let him pick. We all think he's beautiful!

We are new to the snake thing, so I'm sure I'll be on here alot!

My son also named him, his name is Severus Snake :)

I was browsing throught the some of the past photos, and I can see that these little babys grow quick.

From the size of the little hands and feet I'm going to guess that you son is young..... great to introduce him to the love of reptiles! I have so many friends and co-workers who think I'm wacko because I bought my 11 yr old son an Anery corn for his birthday, and then I loved it so much, I went and got my own corn, a little Okeetee :)

I've told them all its a big responsibilty for my son, and he's learned so much having his snake. Its a great learning experience!
