New Corn!

For what it's worth, I think pategirl's corn is a normal, and blkkat's corn is an okeetee. I think it's hard to keep the belly black and white if the top of the snake is very orange. My okeetee has a lot of orange on the last half of his underside. Also, you have to remember that 'normal' corns have a wide variety of appearences, from miami-looking to okeetee-looking and everything in between.

Thank you pinatamonkey...

I agree totally! I'm glad someone was able to show blckcat that an Okeetee sometimes has a lot of orange on its belly.

that's what my corns belly looks like! a lot of the lower end orange, and closer to the head the white/black checks. so then we all agree the guy's an okeetee? because what I'm doing with my breeding is getting PAIRS of every morph I want. that way to sort of keep the blood pure. i guess then i'll have to get another okeetee. i was looking though at my yearling corns (het amel) and the one has a LOT of black and i was curious if he was okeetee as well. i'll wait until he/she (i'm afraid to sex such tini snakes) is much bigger.

trio okeetees

i have a trio of jasper okeetees all three have orange under the back half of there bodys

yes...

...I think that is an Okeetee, my Okeetee looks almost exactly like that...How much did you pay for him because if u paid for a normal u got a good deal;)

Well...I found them on Petfinder (I believe the website is www.petfinder.org if not www.petfinder.com)...A woman had 2 corn snakes (2 okeetees evidently - I had thought they were normals), didn't know one was a boy and one was a girl...They had babies...She raised them for a year...Then decided she wanted to find them a new home! That's how I ended up with them! :)

I never had any luck with reptile adoption agencies. Only ones I know about are in MD and VA, and they never reply to me for some reason. Have never found anything in PA though. I noticed you're from PA, where in PA are you located? Know any good reptile breeders?? I have NO LUCK when it comes to finding any (herp adoption places either).

O thank you very much! I'll have to check them out. I'm looking to adopt a boa sometime soon (I just built some HUGE cages). Hope I can find something there...

This rescue has boas quite often. You have to fill out an adoption form, and go through an approval process. It's simply to make sure that the animals are going to good homes.
