New display cages/rack

Tula_Montage

It's Jager time!
Heres the new livingroom furnature. I intend to fill all 8 3x2 boxes with beautiful locality boas in the future ;)

But for now it holds a handful of the snakes including (From top to bottom):

1.1 Corn isle boas (in their baby boxes)
1.0 Brutus (Bolivian boa)
0.1 Sweetpea (Philodryas baroni)
1.1 CB sunbeam snakes (in their baby boxes)
0.1 Griet (hypo pewter)
1.0 Panther (coral snow)

Then two unocupied levels for the corn islands when they are adults. Crap picture but I took it with a macro lens LOL... I had to stand waaaaaay back to get the whole thing in the shot.

The snakes love it, I love it... it's just so nice to look in and see the snakies roaming about and frolicking in the hemp bedding.

As you can see, it's complete stat overkill... the electrics are insane, someone who shall not be named INSISTED on new pads and stats for EVERY level when there was already enough from the old rack to use. Oh well...

Very Very nice! I wish I had something like that! Did you buy it or make it?

We made it from scratch. It's two levels. The boxes had windows cut out and acrylic panels put in... I think its taken about 2 months to complete as it was a mamoth task!

The boxes were a fabulous find. They are 3ft x 2ft x 8' I think. Not too high and not low. Absolutly perfect for the boas, and Panther is having a ball. For a BIG (1k) adult male corn, he needed the extra space. He was simply miserable in his 64ltr where he could touch both sides 4 times LOL

You _made_ the windows in the bins?? That's incredible! How did you attach them?

Well I didn't make them, but a certain manly man did LOL. He just measures the gaps, cut them out and fitted acrylic panels for each one. I think 3 boxes got ruined during this process as the plastic was really difficult to cut. The acrylic is attached with little rust resistant bolt thingies.

Hi Elle,

Very nice indeed!

I like the idea of the light at the back of each box.

Bye for now,

Jim

It is nice huh :) I get to see all the snakies out all the time. They are all on timers and are all connected to each other in a big chain but you can still turn them on and off individually as you can see with some of the shelfs.
