New eight legged baby!!

Nomed

Aimez le monstre.
Yep! My GBB (C. Cyaneopubescens) sling came on Wednesday and honestly I could not be happier with it! I named it Mitsu. Its such a tiny chill little one. :] Its been happy making itself at home webbing all over the place. I'm still waiting to take a trip to the pet store to get it some little crix, but it seems perfectly happy. :]

To the good part! Photos!
I have not had a whole lot of time to take photos of him so these are not that great :[ (and it really doesn't help that its just bigger then my fingernail lol!)
anyway here we go

Penelope being a nosy rosy and watching me unpack the baby and get him settled in LOL (this photo cracks me up)

After doing some laps around the top "he" (I keep calling it a he I don't know why) came down for a bit.

Thats all for now.
Thanks for looking :]

Thanks Rich! I think so too! rofl
I wonder how cute my parents will find 'him' LOL
...when they find 'him'

A peanut butter jar is a very easy thing to hide in a room the size of my bedroom XD

Thanks dpreston!
Heh, Toshiro isent it?! I thought "Well I don't need a spiderling sitter, big sister is on the job"

Good, I hope they dont find him! Its nice to live out on your own... I bring home all sorts of nasty creatures (such as my Scolopedromorphia).
Very cute spider! Let us know how is every now and then.

Cute! You should do a progression thread on him. What does GBB stand for, Great Big Birdeater??

LOL Allison I think when I'm on my own I will need two houses. One to keep all the critters I love, and another to sleep and eat in LOL!

haha Nanci, GBB stands for Green Bottle Blue. When this baby is grown up it will be all blue with a bright orange rump :D

I will totally do a progression thread on "him" I really like that idea because they change SO much though their lives so It would be cool to keep track of it in one place. :]

How exciting! My first Tarantula, which I bought two years ago, finally died. I know that sounds cruel, but for the past year and a half I've been on the edge of my seat wondering, "am I ever going to see a molt out of this one, or is it a mature male?" Well I finally got my answer...

I guess that means that I now have an opening for another spider! The GBB is kinda cool looking. I already have a Blue T, but I never see her. C. cyaneopubescens seems like a good 'inbetweener", as far as Arboreal and Terrestrial go. I really want an Arboreal T just so that I can at least see something every once in awhile! Lets just say I've been saving up mason jars!

Jessica I would totallly suggest a GBB! They are wicked awesome 'display' Ts they create gorgeous webs and spend most of their time chillin' out on top of them. Its also a wicked plus that they are (generally) pretty calm and some can actually be handled with out problems (but if they get freaked out they will book it! LOL)

I just googled the GBB... That is a COOL looking adult! Im looking forward to a progression thread!

Brian, ya that's definitely what I'm looking for in my next T! I actually tried to keep a Versicolor last summer, but he/she didn't make it out of his first moult with me. :sobstory: I was nervous about keeping such a small T, and my worst fears came true. It was a pretty expensive endevour for something that didn't last very long so I haven't tried again quite yet. I think my problem was I let its home get a bit too dry. I absolutely LOVED the funnel web that he/she created though.

I think my problem is that I give my Ts burrows! As of now I have a lovely pet hole (H. Lividum). Sounds like the Green Bottle Blue's don't require a burrow. I suppose I should read up more on arachnids.com, but for some reason I just don't find the site quite as addicting as this one!

Allison I agree the adults get me drooling! LOL the babies are also just as cute imo! :D

Aw Jess I'm sorry to hear that :[ baby ts def. need higher humidity then older ones, they need it to drink and they are always molting lol!!
lol cobalts are (angry) pet holes anyway, there is nothing you can do about that hahaha
I hear that they sometimes do burrow a little, but normally they just build their own little house thing and chill usually in sight.

Thanks JoshnJJ I'm starting "his" progression thread today! :]
