New house

Right...so Jonathan and I have been renting for the last year and were hoping that we'd be able to afford our own place at some point. We get to sign the contract on a new townhouse on Tuesday. I'm so excited! It's not huge but it's great for a first house. It will have a 17' x 11' (roughly) room in the basement that will be the home of the snakes and the future home of a pool table. I'm so excited! I just have to figure out where we're going to put all the mice and whatnot. Might have to still store some at my parents...but yeah. It's being built for November delivery so that should make life interesting.

Congrats! You should definitely post pictures of the progress of setting up the new snake area when the time comes!

Thanks guys! I'm super excited although it's still six months off. I'm figuring that we'll keep the snakes on the bottom level along one wall in their racks. There's actually a cute little corner upstairs that I might suggest to Jonathan for a tortoise table, but if not they'll be downstairs too. Our backyard will be the width of the house (roughly 21' and probably about as long - not sure of the specifics but I'll hopefully get them tomorrow when the contract is signed. I'm planning on putting down plenty of clover and good grasses and letting the dandelions grow when the time comes! Hopefully the backyard will be fenced so the neighbors can't complain about dandelions too but we'll see.
