Hi! I am new in the forum! I have been reading a lot of useful info for the past 3 months. I got my Okeetee 2 months ago and she is doing great altought she has been hiding a lot for the past 10 days and I am little bit worried. I asked some questions in the behaviour section...maybe someone can help me!
Anyways, I hope to share a lot of info in the future and learn all about cornsnakes!

Thank you!

welcome to the forum. hope you enjoy it and gain all the knowledge you need and more. know iv learnt loads and always finding more all the time. This is by far the best forum iv found, believe me I'm on loads, but this is the best.

as for ur snake hiding, it's a perfectly normal behavior of some snakes more than others. We have some corns that never seem to move out of their hides, others never go in their hides. just depends on the snake. Some of ours have no hides at all as over the years have never been found in them. Besides, unless u watching it 24-7 u will never know what they doing all the time. we have some that revelry active all day, some all night, some just first thing in the morning and some just at dusk. it really depends on the snake in question. I wouldn't worry unless u know of a stressful situation which may of triggered new behavior (obviously just prevent it happening again) or its not feeding. Even then, it could be that temps are slightly lower, sometimes it's hard for humans to notice a small drop in temps, an animal which is temperature dependant will feel a subtle change more than us. as I said, I'd only worry if it wasn't feeding. hiding is perfectlynormal

This is my third year with the corns! Welcome, this site has helped me through disaster and need, and the people here are really nice!

I'm not much in the line of advice, being relatively inexperienced, but my first shed went the same way. It can be sort of hard to tell when snakes are in the blue at first, but my snakes, who usually quickly slither out of their hides and right by the opening of their containers anytime I enter the room, are rarely out while in the blue.
Anytime any of my snakes clear, they shed within four days.

Hello and welcome. FWIW, I rarely see my corns out. Sophie comes out at night. Sunny almost never, but she's pretty new yet. So don't worry about them hiding.

Thank you all! I am just worried because she was very active and always willing to come out of the cage. At the begining she was afraid but after some time she always climbed to my hand to go outside. I hope she is hiding because she is going to shed. At least she ate last night. I normally fed her outside the enclosure but yesterday I left the pinkie inside because she was not willing to go out.

Here you have one pic. The quality is not very good but maybe you can have an idea of her size. This pic was taken a few weeks ago.

Thank you!I will take a pic of the whole cage. She has also a small log in the warm side for hiding. She finally shed for the first time today! I am so happy! I was worried it was something else but now I am so glad it is over! I hope she will be again active and friendly.

I have taken a pic of the skin. It seems that the shed was complete and although I have to check, I think that there is nothing still attached to her.
