New member and new mom to snake

Damiera

undefinedundefinedundefinedHello there. I am new to not only Cornsnakes.com but to corn snakes as well. I have been watching the various types in the pet stores and such for almost two years. I am ready to aquire one and will have him home next week on Friday.
I also have a 10 inch Oscar fish who is very spoiled.
Any input on maintenance, heating with lamps heaters or heating pad, feeding, etc. of my snake would be greatly apprectiated!

Thanks in advance :dancer:

welcome to the site and the addiction (once you get yours, you will see). anyway, you have been looking for 2 years which is better than just impulse buying..................but, before you get your snake you should do a little more research as the questions you asked are very important to know before having a snake. kind of like you moving to a new house and the temp either stays way too hot or too cold and you cannot do anything about it...........getting fed something that you don't like and it isn't even something you could digest..........no walls on the house so you have no bed to sleep in or place to rest when you want.
please look at the link in my signature..........please use the search feature for the topics you asked about.......please buy a book or two and read all you can about these things before buying it. guaranteed it will do two things:
1st it will make the snake more enjoyable to own as you will have more time to spend with it than back on this forum asking more questions......
2nd, you will make the snake very happy as he can't turn up the heat if he is cold, it all depends on you.
once again, welcome to the forum and when you finally get your little one, post some pics.

Welcome Damiera. Original poster and thread hijacker are both in luck! By using the 'search' functions, and checking out the F.A.Q. sections stickied to the top of the major sub-forums here, you both should be able to find ample answers to all of your questions! Good luck. :)

judi78, I don't mean to be rude or insensitive to your issue, but that is 2 thread from that person which you have hijacked (copy/paste 1mnt appart). This meaning that you do not add anything to the thread which is related to the thread nor even say anything to the owner of the thread. I would like to make you aware that this is considered rude in this forum even though everybody is really nice and welcoming.
I suggest that you start one of your own introducing yourself.
There has been quite a few conversations about escaped snakes, it might be a good idea to use the search function on the top right of the screen.

Anyway, welcome to this forum :D

i have started my own thread after i realised what i had done. it`s the first time i have posted and i messed up. i`m really sorry. i have never had to post before cos i have always read and re-read FAQ and other posts ans always found my answers. love this site have learnt so much. was just in a bit of a blind panic cos my little is missing. i`m so sorry for hi`jacking. to the original poster especially. sorry

Sorry, I didn't actually read your post :sidestep: as I saw it was a double post and already replied in the other one.
It proves that sometimes I do not read things properly, I hadn't seen the "I" in the rep..... nevermind but well done your first post! :grin01:
