Hello everyone, I wanted to post and say thanks for all the info and entertainment I've already gotten from you guys here one the site.

I've always been interested in reptiles, but my living situation would never allow me to own one. Im sure we all know the bogus reputation that our pets tend to get... Anyway, My other half was cool with the idea of getting a herp, she had owned some geckos and a cornsnake in the past, so back in february she bought me a Chameleon for valentines day. She new I had always wanted one and it was a great gift, unfortunately he didnt make it. So then we had a bunch of equipment and a tank around so we decided to try a snake, and with the corns rep. of being fairly easy to care for and they're laid back personalities (for the most part) we decided that was the best place to start. We got my first snake, and I love him to death. Thanks to the info on this site he's thriving, and I happened to come across another corn that needed a home on craigslist just the other day, so now we have two. When I saw her and her whole setup being given away for free I couldnt resist.

Anyway, thanks again everyone, I look forward to becoming part of your community here.

Rusty, my first

Had my snakes sexed today... Rusty (the normal) is male and the snow is a female.... maybe one day I try my hand at breeding. I mainly wanted to find out so I could name The snow, Im glad its a female, all the pink just seems feminine and i wouldnt have wanted to use a male name.

I still have some unsexed snakes. I have "assigned" genders to them until I find out for sure. GetLow, what's the significance of your user name? Military maybe?

I predict that you will have at least 1 more before the year is out. :D

Those geckos make good corn snake food if you have a baby that won't eat. That's a natural prey item for them.
