Sticking To The Ceiling
One of the girl's I bought to start with. She used to be BLACK. Now she's brown.
A boy I'm keeping from the last litter the above rat had of 19. He has a nice straight, thick line on his back that will be WONDERFUL for breeding quality hooded rats. He's like 4 wks old.
My big breeder male. He's like twice the size of my girls and loves to cuddle and be petted. And he likes to steal snacks. He's the father of all the rats except for the breeding female I'm listing here.
This boy I'm unsure if I'm keeping. Might be interesting to see if I can breed him to another rat and breed the lines out and make bareback patterns. I highly doubt I'll keep him though.
A male I'm keeping for sure, at least for a few more months. He and a few sisters have those sort of "diamonds" on their backs, so I'd like to start a line of rats with that sort of thing going on. Breed the siblings, see if I can get it inherited, and introduce new genes later on.
Same litter brother to the above male. Unsure if I'm keeping this one; probably not, though I really don't want to kill him off. Rrr!
My two girls I raised from birth that were born Oct 7th. They're sweethearts, but were really hyper when I took the pics, so I had to shove 'em in the tub until it was their turn to see the camera. The one on the left is dubbed Straitline and the one on the right is dubbed Blacktail. Here is what they looked like at about 2 wks of age.Tiny.
This girl seems to really like me, so I'll keep her for sure. She'll also be bred at least once to the brother that has the diamond back to see if I can start a line.
