New Rescue

So I got a new rescue today that I am really hoping I can revive and make happy!! He/She has had it pretty rough so far and I am a little worried because he is so tiny! I have no idea how old he is but he can't be more than a month or so he has never had any kind of heat source, had only eaten once in his whole life, and when I went to get him his water was BROWN and he was in a tank with no substrate or hides! I wasn't allowed to take a picture but all that was in the tank was a saucer with brown water!! Hopefully I can help him because no one else wanted him!! He is adorable though and although he has had a rough life he seems very sweet!! I am not sure when to feed him but I know you will all help! He has not eaten in at least 3 weeks they said because they couldn't buy the pinkies! I only handled him long enough to get the tank ready and he is now chilling under one of the hides! Here are a couple quick pictures I took and I'm wondering if you guys could tell me what he is? He kind of looks like a normal to me but you all know best so let me know if you can!!

Sorry for the long winded post guys

If you have a nice home set up for him already, I'd let him have a few days to get used to it and feed him right away.

So glad u found him and rescued him. I never understand why some people get pets and don't take care of them. Just a little research goes a long way. Smh

Yeah he is actually going crazy is his new home, exploring like crazy but he seems so thin to me so I'm hoping to be able to try feeding in a couple days or so! Anyone have any ideas on what he may be?

I'm not going to profess a great deal of knowledge on the various morphs, but I can say he looks just like the Wild Corn Snakes we catch right here in Tennessee. Of course he is young, and could change a bit as he ages so he may look totally different in a year than he does now. But if not, I'm saying he is a "Wild or Normal" variant.

It's amazing how active he is compared to Bella and Tessa at that age!! He is just all over the place exploring and of course trying to escape!!! You can really tell that he has just never seen any of the stuff that's in his viv!!

Congrats! I'm glad you found each other. Who gets a pet that they can't afford from the get go? I understand that things may happen down the line, but from the beginning? Couldn't even get him clean water! Sheesh.

He look like an adorable normal from the pic. Glad he is active. That's a good sign.

I just hope I can get him to eat with no problem!! I'll tell you as soon as he found his water dish he sucked it down like I have never seen!!

Nicole

That poor baby.
No wonder he sucked down his water, it was gross and brown and probably almost non existent in his old tank.
He deserves so much more than that.
I am hoping he eats and hoping for a happy ending. Keep us updated, and good job.

I'm wondering what he is because when I was looking at him last night he has some really pretty yellows and Browns so I'm really not sure at all

Nicole

It will be interesting to see what colors he develops. The eye color may give you a clue that I can't get from the pictures. I'm so glad he ate for you. That's a huge hurdle passed!
