And I'm taryn :)

Congrats Taryn on your new snake. Be sure to read the stickies in the husbandry section as they have lots of useful information!

:) thanks everyone! I think she's pretty beautiful too.... I love snakes. They're one of my favourite animals. The branch thing I bought. It can bend and stuff, but is made of like a rubbery material. It's pretty cool.

She actually used to belong to my biology teacher from last year. He got her, but then he traded her in to petland so he could get a baby russian rat snake. About a month ago he went to go see how she was doing, and he found out that she had escaped because someone forgot to close her viv. She was without food or water for two weeks and ended up being found when she was caught in a live mouse trap. When he found that out he felt really bad and bought her back. He didn't have room for her however, so he was trying to find her a home. About three weeks later I emailed him asking for advice for getting a corn snake, and he offered her to me. I felt like this little one really needed a nice, stable home with someone who isn't going to move her around all the time.

She's really sweet once she trusts you, and she's verrry curious, haha. She has a few small scars from the trap, but they are getting lighter and lighter each shed.
