When is breeding season for corn snakes?

I have a snow corn that I would like to breed. Its 2 years old, about 33 inches long, and thickness is about the size of a quarter… maybe a little less than that. Is she ready for breeding or should I wait and fatten her up for another year?

Thanks for your help

If it was my snake, I would fatten her up another year. My female anery is just about the same size and I am waiting another year because in comparision to my three year old female, she was tiny! *L*

My big girl who did breed this year is close to 50 inches, and fat. She laid 19 eggs. Besides waiting another year not only ensures she is large enough, but you will get a larger clutch from a larger female.

They normally can be bred anywhere from march-july but exceptions always happen and it depends on when you brumate them.

Weight

I believe weight is a good indicator of breeding size as well. If I'm not mistaken the females should be at least 250 grams. I would probably not breed them until closer to 300 myself. I have several females that are about 30 - 36 inches in length, and 'looked' larger, but they only weighed about 220 grams, so they will not be getting close to any males this year.
