no poop??

Hi

I am the proud owner of an Okeetee corn for almost 3 weeks now. He is a summer 03 hatchling, about 16inch, and is eating well, a pinky every 5 days, and has eaten 3 meals with no problems, gulps them down. He shed for the first time this weekend which went well, and seems to be doing really well, BUT he has not pooped yet??

Should I be worried??

Just read some of the other threads, maybe I should be feeding 2 pinkies every 5 days instead?? Does he need more food?

You could go to 2 pinks at that size. As for the lack of poop, enjoy it while you can. If you are all that worried about it you can soak it in some warm water and if it has any near ready it'll make some soup for you. :awcrap:

I'd be willing to bet that your snake will eat 2 pinks! All of my '03s are at least on peach fuzzies...a couple are even on weanling mice!

I'd be willing to bet your snake has pooped, but it's hidden under the substrate like my Aztec does. I can never find her poop, but I know she goes. It's under the aspen, so I have to sift thru there to find anything.

weanling mice?

never heard of a weanling mouse . would that be the same as a crawler? also once a corn is up to 3 pinks a feeding should he go onto fuzzies or should i go with the snake size. they are summer 03 hatchlings. thanks gail

Weanlings are just a bit smaller than small adult mice.

And yes, if your snake is eating 3 pinks, you should offer it a fuzzy at its next feeding instead.

I go up in size once they are feeding on two, and appear to be looking for more.
