Non-2014 Hatchling Photo Session

HerpsOfNM

My name's Blurryface...
I snuck in a few 2013 animals while taking pics the other day for my 2014 hatchlings.

I still have yet to capture her pink, but at least got her pattern to show this time through under-exposing the shot.

The red on this little gem just keeps intensifying. She's from Big Sam X Banshee last season by Stephanie (beautifullywild77). She and her granite siblings are absolute sweethearts.

This one from Nanci keeps getting gorgeous with each passing shed too. Her and her brother (EZ2013_01A) are little beasts that are about to be moved up to fuzzies.

And this recent addition last week.

Back to (attempting to) feeding the last of this season's babies. Just a quick intermission while I try them on boiled pinks.

Chris,
I was really tempted in getting one of those Blue Tesseras from Joe...instead I got a Blue Stripe (Tessera is questionable?). All those look Super but the Blue Tessera TOPS.

Thanks for sharing!

A great group of snakes! If I could start anything else, I think it would be a vanishi8ng stripe coral snow.

Don't forget Ivory! Someone just yesterday told me that got three of his non-feeders going. One hadn't eaten in six weeks!

LOL! with a bit of Franks Red Hot sauce..."I put that $h!t on everything!"
It's Cholula for me ;) I could eat toilet paper dipped in that stuff.

Great photos as usual Chris!!!

I'm a fan of the Iguana hot sauces. Can find them at World Market.

I hesitated quite a bit on her. It's funny with her as she brings me full circle on the tessera mutation in some sense. Last year at the Arlington, TX NARBC I was eyeing some of Don's corns, but had spent most of what I was willing to fork over cash wise on a few other animals and some supplies. While I was playing with the subadult palmetto on Don's table my wife was looking about at other corns. He had a pair of blue corn motley or het motley that she was really focused on. However, I wanted something I could pair with my, at the time, 2 female corns. A friend and Don actually talked me into my tessera het butter/amber stripe. My goal now will be to find a nice male blue stripe, but that'll be later this year. Mr. Roylance above has tapped me out for 3 corns currently sitting at my wife's office desk waiting to go home this afternoon.

Thanks! I'm torn on what I want to do with her. She was just too gorgeous to not pick up. I've thought about pairing her to a male anery tessera I have from Steve, but that may add too many possible hets/unnecessary hets.

What's this ivory you speak of?

Lovely animals. Thanks for sharing

Thank you.

Original Ivory Liquid dish soap. Do you know there's a sticky in my personal forum here about feeding tricks? it's pretty inclusive.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH! That too. For some reason, my reading comprehension took that as talking about a morph. I blame all the excel files I've been looking at today. For a second I was thinking to myself, hmmm ivory - wonder what that looks like compared to snow and blizzard. :twohammer

quick upload before bed...

Some more updates of animals I've purchased over the last year or have produced. And 3 new ones below that arrived today.

Not pleased with colors that came through in the image. Even with levels adjusted to proper gray, white, and black points, the white balance itself still seems off.

And Steve asked above my photo setup. I still need to perfect it as my "white" background still comes out grey at times. Operator user error? Or I just need a THIRD flash from the back.

BTW Steve...the 3 new little ugly things each ate a large pinkie about 30 minutes ago. There you have it lurkers. Not only do you get ugly, over priced snakes from Mr. Roylance, but ones that eat the same day they arrive from being shipped. Absolutely ridiculous! :nyah:

You take the best photos...

It's cool to see how my Okeetees are turning out! Very contrasty, still. Love the heterozygous Kastanie Tessera. And Casper.

Thanks to you, I had the Top Gun theme in my head all morning....

Seriously though, that Ice is sweet! Was going to say it was cool, but that's a little punny :p

I try, and in trying sometimes I succeed.

I'm enjoying watching her colors come through. I'm very intrigued to see what the het kastanie tessera turns into. Super excited for the EO Tessera het ERO to grow up so he can play with the okeetee from you and maybe some of the RO tesseras I hatched out this season.

Casper is so stunning, wooow ! But the blue tessera is also really beautyful !! Cannot say who's most...sorry ;)

I do like him. It's funny as at the time I asked Steve about him I recall being more interested in the pewter he had, but wanted the ghost stripe for testing the genetics of the above albino tessera. Casper is probably my most relaxed snake in my collection after my Harquahala rosy boa.

The blue tessera should be amazing to watch color up. I think she'll be a tough call on who is most stunning with time. I know blue corns tend to be quite unique in appearances with age.

Do you feel the need? The need for speed?!

The ice is somewhat of a wild card in my collection and I've no clue what I want to pair him with in time. I got him as a result of getting a magma (lava bloodred) from Mitch, but she (magma) regurged on her first meal in my care and then never recovered. I'm still a bit shocked about it.

Wow!

You need sunglasses for some of those. Candy and Casper are my favorites. All of them are amazing animals though.

Very cool light box Chris, thanks for sharing.
I was wondering how yours was set up compared to others I've seen. What is the wattage of the lights you are using both on sides and top ??

BTW, to keep you from always having to waste time on photographing that ugly @$$ Stripe Ghost thing, you can just send it over here.
I'll be sure not to take pics. of it :uhoh:.....:poke:

Walter
:crazy02:BOUT' CORNS !!
