Here's my 05 normal, and my 04 Axanthic brooksi. Both sitting in hand like a Ball Python. Just a couple of growing babies with an insane feeding response.

yes, realy nice indeed.. but they dont look like babys anymore! :grin01:

Dang, either you have really small hands or they're almost the size of my adults.... :D Really glad to see more people with Florida Kings!

Do you have any baby pics of the axanthic? Yours looks a lot lighter than mine so I was wondering if he lightened up or if he's always been light. Gorgeous snakes, by the way! They've become one of my favorites (except for getting bit all the time! LOL They definitely have HUGE appetites!).

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Capt. Bogart, the Axanthic is being held by my wife, and the normal brooks is in my hand. She does have smaller hands. Having said that, he's still very large. I'd say the 04 Axanthic is around 51-54 inchs in size, and the 05 normal is not that far behind. I really think he'll end up larger then the axanthic.
Terry, I received my Axanthic from Brandon Osborne out of Indiana. I didn't have him as a hatchling. When I purchased him he was about a year old. I do have pics from the day I received him, so you can see what he looked like when I first got him. Also my brooks is a New England Axanthic. Not sure which strain of Axanthic you may have. The New England strain is known for having more of the bluish on black colors I believe there are three different stains. New England, Llemke, and BHB?
Here are some pics right out of the deli-cup. The lighting is making him a little more blue then he really is. I also have can show you an additional pic of him, that belongs to Brandon. Since the photo is Brandon's, I'll hyper link it for you to see. There is a picture of a Ghost, A hypo, and a New England Axanthic. That New England Axanthic in that photo is mine. Hyper link is right above the first picture.

Thanks for the pictures, Steve. I think my guy is a bit darker. Here is a link with some pics: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31490&highlight=axanthic

They are old pics. I'll see if I have any newer ones. I'm sure I do somewhere. As for where mine came from, I am not certain. If I remember correctly, Dwight Good produced him. I am not sure where Dwight's stock came from. I do know that he is possible het "pearl phase" snow. Do you know which line that is from?

I also have several other brooks (axanthic white-sided, white-sided het axanthic, a pearl phase snow female, a snow female, a normal male possible het snow, a normal male het white-sided, extreme albino, and axanthic [produced by Casey Lasik], a normal male, and several adults that are het for various things). I really look forward to figuring out their genetics!

Edit:
Here is a link to a picture showing the difference between my snow and my pearl phase snow. The lighter one is the pearl.

I found a couple of pictures taken on 9/3/06 and some taken on 3/15/07.

By the way, if you'd rather me not post the pics here, let me know and I will remove them. I've just been trying to find out their genetics so I thought it might be nice to be able to compare him to yours.

Thanks!

Terry, very nice Axanthic. I'm very familiar with Dwight Good. I've purchased quite a few snakes from him in the past. As a matter of fact, I had purchased one of his Axanthics. But since I did not need two males, I ended up doing a trade for the Axanthic I got from Dwight. I believe, and don't quote me on this, Dwight had told me he purchased his adult breeders from a show in Chicago a few years back. I believe those adults that Dwight has, produces axanthics, normals, hypos. Yours looks very nice, and should turn into a stunning adult. I"ll have to get in contact with Dwight and make the information I gave you is 100 percent correct.

Thanks Steve! I also have quite a few of Dwight's snakes. He only lives a little over an hour from me. I don't ever remember seeing any hypos from Dwight's Brooks line...only normals, axanthics, albinos, and snows.

Let me know what you find out...:)
