So I pride myself with reptiles, I check all my guys twice a day... I do not pick up snakes that just ate but I do clean, and just look over them..

Either way I also have a bunch of lizard, of where one is a mystery anole..

I've had him for a couple of months, he was stressed out at work and so cute I had to take him home.. He has eaten fine, he has shed once (just two days ago), I had to help him a little around the tail tip and eyes. (my room is a little dry so that is not helping).. I fed him last night, he was fine, I had him out for a moment..

This morning he's on the ground when I go to mist him (they don't drink out of bowl so you have to mist twice a day).. and he's so still, I pick him up, he's mainly twitching.. I called my vet, I mailed him a video, he is not sure what is wrong but he went from bright eyed to hollow eyed (eyes sunken in), over night.. However due to the twitching he said he is most likely about to pass...

I bumped up his temps and misted him more, and we will see if he makes it.. No one is sure even what locale this anole is.. He's my little mystery guy.. Please keep fingers crossed for him... I didn't even figure out a good name for him yet...

Sorry about that. Do you have any way of knowing how old he is? Perhaps it was just his time.

If he is such a mystery, you should preserve him in something that will keep him from decomposing (if he passes).

He's an anole, a fat head anole (I found out today).. he did pass yesterday before I went to work and i stuck him in the freezer..

He's at my vets office now, he is going to look at him.. I have no reason to be super worried but I'd like an answer.. It could of been age but I didn't see any decline.. He went from shedding to dead...

I have one aging lizard here, if he lasts another year both me and vet will be surprised.. he is a rescue age unknown, they live 8-12 years, and I have had him 5 and he wasn't the strongest to begin with.. He gets a lot of baby food, pureed, I hand feed him crickets etc.. He moves slowly, needs a lot of support.. when he goes it is expected.. This guy I didn't get a warning on hence why I brought him to my vet..

I did just feed him, I wonder if one went down the wrong way... Ill find out by the weekend or beginning next week when he gets a moment over..
