Hey guys, I just got this guy from a friend of mine who can no longer take care of it. I keep boas, but have taken care of corns before. It doesn't look like a normal and my friend had no idea. Just wondering if you guys had an idea of which one this is. I understand some phenotypes are hard to tell, but maybe this is an easy one for you guys...

There are several different varieties of normal, such as Carolina/classic, okeetee, and miami, as well as several different locality morphs. What you have there looks like a classic miami corn snake. makes me jealous. :)

Miami is a wild type or normal genetically. I believe it is like Okeetee in that it can refer either to a locality (in other words, the snake either was itself or can trace its lineage back to corns that were collected in the Miami area) or a selectively line bred snake where the breeder(s) were selecting for the look that is associated with the Miami locality snakes... specifically that silvery grey background rather than the tan/orange that is more typical.

That is a really nice one. If you aren't interested in keeping a corn at this time, I bet you could find someone who is interested in using that snake in their Miami projects.

Gorgeous!!! Miami-phase normal. It is very unlikely that it is a wild caught. People breed specifically for that color, for generations and generations. It is VERY hard to get such a nice silver background.
