Not warm enough?

I've had my little baby corn since Wednesday now, and she's pretty much hidden the entire time. I saw her out once. The place she's been hiding on in the cage is the cool side, about as far away from the heater as she can possibly get. Normally I'd say she's just too warm on the warm side, but the thermometer says otherwise. Over where she is gets down to 60 during the night, should I be concerned that she's not using the heater? She seems to be taking the move pretty hard, even though her travel wasn't very far. Only about 100 miles.

most corns and def. baby corns hide almost the entire time. not until they really trust you and their surroundings or get on a nice day night cycle will they start to come out. corn snakes are diggers and come out at night, so keeping an eye out for her around 10-o-clock at night you might catch her waking up!

Also, a lot of my snakes almost NEVER use their heaters unless they have just eaten and only for a little while.
what is the temp on the warm side?
I wouldnt be too worried. I think one would be worried if they spent all their time on the hot side more so? :p

The hot side only makes it up to 79 at the best, it's pretty cold where I am and the room isn't heated : P I usually stay up until midnight every night, and like I said I've only seen her once without peeking under the hides haha. I know she hasn't been over on the heater, because the substrate is perfectly smooth and hadn't been touched at all. I just wanted to make sure she'd be ok over in the really cold spot, because if I had to I could put her in a smaller tank. She's in a pretty big one right now. Most people have said to not put them in anything colder than 70, but it's just not really possible for me to heat it up that much when the room temp is 55-60 xD

Even in a cold room a UTH shouldn't have trouble heating the glass at the bottom of the tank to 85. Are you measuring the temp underneath any substrate you might have ?

Are you using a UTH and a thermostat ?

Most of the regurgitation issues posted here it seems are due to inadequate heating. If the ambient temp. in the room is that low than you definitely want the bottom of the warm side to be the 85 F they need.

I have a Rheostat on the UTH, because until my next paycheck comes in I can't afford the Thermostat (didn't know I needed it because everywhere online said a Rheostat : P) but the Rheostat is set on high. And yes, I am taking the temperature under the substrate. I have a hide directly over it now, and inside that it gets a little be warmer.

it might be cold to the point where she is trying to find a place to snuggle down for the winter. Maybe moving the snake to a warmer room? I know before I have had to take all my enclosures to another room entirely just to get them to a warmer spot where the heater could reach 85 and the cool side was just at 70-68
