wishing more time for 8
Worst nightmare for snake people, he's lost. I was holding him while watching terminator 1 (heh) and wearing a sweater, and he decided to go in my sleeve and stay warm, that was fine. I swear i could still feel him in there, and about 5 to 10 minutes later im ready to put him back in his little house, but he's got other plans! i searched everywhere around where i was, but it was like 2am and i was tiredd...But this morning we lifted all the sofas, moved stuff around carefully (so that we dont squish him) but no luck. :shrugs:
I know of the pinkie in a bottle trick, but not an expert of it. Do you drill a hole in the bottle? Or take some ducktape and cover 3/4 of the lid, but what if he crawls in a some of his body gets stuck on the tape? ouch. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thnx.

Take a 2L bottle, cut the top off to make a funnel, invert the top half so that it is inside of the bottle and use just enough tape or hot glue to hold the two pieces together. Put an appropriate sized feeder mouse inside and hope for the best. Avoid moving things around to look for it (may do more harm dragging something over it), instead look for any type of a place for it to escape and be sure to close that off/up. You can place flour or sugar down in a doorway or where you'ld hope to see which direction it has last traveled to narrow down your search (look up too). Get up early in the morning when all is quiet just stand or sit still you may see it quietly slithering by you. I've found some of my escapee/AWOL snakes while making coffee one morning at 4:00a.m., another time I found one just laying across the screen top of an aquarium that had mice in it. Close all toilet lids I have seen them go longer without food than water before coming out of hiding, when found they did not want to eat but sure did drink some water. Most important thing you need to have to find it is patience! Ron

That's terrible, I hope you find the little guy, Unfortunately I dont really have any advice right now.

I just went through this a month or so ago with a teeeeny tiny baby milksnake. He escaped from his enclosure, and got into a furnace vent that I hadn't yet covered (needless to say, they are covered WELL now!!)

I searched EVERYWHERE- had pinkie traps, sugar/flour, flashlights out all night, you name it and no lock. I had just given up when my roommate found him, a week later, in the bottom of our washing machine....2 floors down, in the basement!!!! Our house is old too, with sooo many hollow spaces, a crazy furnace system, cracks and crevices everywhere. Just keep looking, and check in places you never would think. Or stop looking, and guaranteed he will turn up...always seems to work that way!

MOST of the time, they do not go far, mine was an exception, they just come across a comfy tight spot and curl up there, so chances are, he is closer than you think. Try the inverted bottle, so many people suggested it to me when I lost mine, and it worked for them (mine was a horrible little eater-still is, so it didn't work out that great for my milk). Put out some heat pads under a small pile of blankets, or something else that would be a nice cozy hide for a snake, check all nearby appliances that may be putting off heat, or piles of clothes/blankets/papers and try scenting the area your trying to draw him to with mouse-smell. Mark off some areas with flour lines, so if he moves around, you can tell where, and what direction he was going.

Good luck finding him, I know how it feels to lose your baby and panic. Keep us updated!!

Thank you so much for all your suggestions!! i bought a buncha pinkies today and am setting up traps, only time will tell if i can get my baby back :(
