I thought everything was fine and dandy.
But the bloating appeared again.
And I was reading the Kathy love book, Chapter diseases and Disorders, section Internal parasites- The disease that it most looks like is one called "Cryptospordium" "It's an invasive protozoan that causes regurge and weight loss" "Thickening of the stomach which appears as a midbody swelling in the snake"
I see that in mine.

"It kills the animal slowly" "Presently incurable" "Because of infectious nature of the disease, experienced collectors recommend destroying infected animals immediately. "

First thing I will do is isolate it. Then get a fecal exam. After that we'll see.

But I am pretty sure that is it. Unless there are other diseases that cause swelling, loss of apetite, regurge, weightloss.

Worth while reading.. I believe the acid stain test is the one they use on the fecal sample to determine whether or not the animals is currently a carrier.. There are others here that might direct to to the proper channels on how, what and where to go with Crypto.. If its internal parasites, your likely going to get Panacur, if it is another infection, probably Flagyl or some other industrial strength anti biotic will be used.. Flagyl is an excellent antibiotic, that has a broad spectrum from what I understand, however it should be understood, that flagyl is very strong..

Have you contacted the person
you got the animal from?

In Any Case, get the snake to a vet IMMEDIATELY!!

I'd caution against going back to the shop unless/until you get a positive on the test from the vet. Starting an unnecessary scare can have serious implications for you and them.

Try and stay calm yourself until you get the results; diagnosing from an article in a book is tempting, but may not be accurate. There could well be other (treatable) disorders that produce the symptoms that you're seeing.

It's sensible to implement quarantine, as you would for say, a more simple case of parasites. But getting yourself into a state when there's no actual evidence as yet, won't help you or the Corn. Your guy needs you to be on the ball and stressing yourself without reason will just add to any problem.

Keep us posted on what the vet finds - I do hope it's better news than you anticipate.
