Both are gorgeous! I love that your Phantom has such a minimal amount of yellow! Olive is starting to get the slightest bit of yellow on her neck, but it's pretty hard to notice, and actually almost compliments her.

You can't really tell it in the 2(yeah..thats right..two) pics of the ultramel char., but she is sporting ZERO yellow. was hoping to pair the two up someday & get a Pure white line of blizzards started. And then perhaps, by reverse engineering..return the "pine island anery" to it's original Beauty.
 
That's so awesome!! I love finding out that I have a snake that's related to someone's. This is an ESPECIALLY amazing discovery though, because I have been wondering pretty much since I got her if Olive is het Blood. If she has a Pewter sibling.. well.. I think the odds are increased!

I've kind of wondered about the "a" as well.. I was thinking perhaps if a female double clutched then perhaps an a would be added to the first clutch? Just a theory.

You should consider contacting sean. i'm sure he'd shed some light on whether there is a chance of BR being in your baby's genetic background.

Yea, awhile back John mentioned asking Sean about Olive's bloodlines, but I didn't hear back from him about it. I suppose I should shoot him an email myself!


Your Ultramel Charcoal is STUNNING! Especially considering that Ultramel morphs seem to have more of a chance of gaining a LOT of yellow. I LOVE yours.

Anery based morphs with NO yellow FTW!!

Pretty much everyone that has seen a pic of her has the same responce. So i guess it must be true. I just hope her genes carry on to the next "level". Can you imagine returning the Charcoal to it's original slendor?

Now that she's getting older she's taking longer in between sheds, so I hope you got your fill! I know I can never get enough of this gorgeous girl.
 
Olive is fresh shed, and I got a few pictures of her. The weather's not great, and I'm kind of in an apathetic mood about getting out there and taking nice photos. Never the less, I got a few outdoor shots.

the thing that is most striking to me is the difference between my phantom male and your Female Phantom....both VMS products...Yours seems soooooo much lighter and more contrasting than mine (Whining a bit here). She sure is a beauty! Any future breeeding plans for this girl?
 
Rich, I definitely chose her for her clean looks. She was a lot lighter and more contrasty looking than some of her siblings from the get go. There was just something special about most of the clutch, but she was especially beautiful. A few of them were a little more muddy looking or darker.

I'm really glad that she's held on to her pattern so well. One thing I was kind of scared of was that she would lighten up a lot and end up losing her pattern. So not the case with this girl!!

Thanks for the compliments, she's one of my favorite snakes!

I plan on pairing her up with a Pewter male that I have from VMS. I have suspicions that she is het Diffused. Even if she isn't I think she'd be a great start to a Hypo Pewter project.

Thanks, I like it as well. I think it's one of those backgrounds that every morph will look good against, but the Charcoal morphs seem to REALLY shine against it. Perhaps that's just my bias towards loving Phantoms and Pewters though. :p

Man oh man, it's just so amazing watching this girl grow up. She's really my pride and joy.
 
Time for an update of Olive. Just got this girl back from Jen (of Ghost House Corns). Thanks so much for taking care of her for me!! To anyone who doesn't know Jen around here she is an amazing woman and really knows her stuff when it comes to corns!

Beautiful girl! She is probably related somewhat to either my Vash or Stormy, she kind of has the whole weird Masque thing going on that Vash does. They were late '08 VMS Phantoms.
