Ok well many may know I have a non feeder... Well today he was cruising round his viv finally and I found this.. now Iv had him since the 20th and he hasnt eaten with me soo OMG what is this Please help me?

Sorry for posting alot.. I know the pic sucks but the color is pretty accurate and IDK bout snakes but I know what worms look like in a dog and it has whitish specks kinda like in the dogs? what do I do?

It is just poop. Urates to be exact. That is normal. Had the snake eaten there would have been a black lump in there but since it hasn't eaten that is just the urine. It will turn white and powdery when it dries.

No worry mom.

Thanks wade LoL.. I was scared he was internally sick or something.. He doesnt eat for me and fri will be my last attempt then hes goin back Im undecided if I want to get another or not.. Thanks guys I was worried..

I can't help you with that decision I guess. I think if the pet store has another snake that you love and they are willing to trade I would trade. Corns a really easy to care for and there is no reason to fight with a difficult feeder if you don't have to.

I know but he is amazing he is a zig zag with an awsome pattern complete pattern no breaks in it.. Plus he is an RO and I got him on sale LoL.. thats always good but Ill see I wont settle for just an anything.. Im thinking maybe a snow or a nice dark anery..

My guess is that YOU and trying to hard to feed your snake.

Sound odd I know.

I must of missed your other post but what/how have to tried to feed him???

Nanci has been helping me with him.. I tried feeding him 3 or 4 days after I got him, he refused so I waited 5 days and tried again.. I took the pinkie made slits in him an put them both in a tiny container.. Didnt eat after an hour so I heated the pinkie again an placed them in the viv in the dark all night and he still didnt eat I am trying again fri night..

You really haven't had the snake long enough to call it a none feeder. If I weren't for the deadline set by the pet store I would not be worried about it. That is not to say that the breeder never got it to eat either, we just don't know. If you are head over heals in love with this guy and can't find a replacement, then I'd say keep it and we will do our best to get him eating.

Id love that wade just the only problem is money is kinda tight as heck right now and Id hate to keep him and him die.. id lose my money which if I bring him back Id either get my money back or a replacement which i wouldnt be loosing ya see... IDK yet what ima do Id love to get him eating..

Sorry about your "trials and travails" with this one... I certainly hope you can both keep AND get him eating. Sure is a good looking snake.

I'm pulling for ya!

I just thought of one more thing you could try on the Friday attempt. "Slap feeding." You hold the snake in your left hand, with about 2" of neck and head free. You don't want him flailing about, but you don't want him completely restrained, either. Then, just hold out your hot pink. He might take it. If not, try poking him with it, tapping him gently, near his head or along his side, but not right in the face. Also, try holding it right up to his nose, following him if he turns his head away. If it doesn't work within a minute or two, give up and move on to the deli cup attempt. You want to annoy him enough that he strikes at the offending mouse. If he does, FREEZE!! Don't even breathe! Let him start swallowing. Once he gets going, it's safe to rest your arm on the counter or something, but don't try to set him down.

I'm reading the Don Soderberg book again right now. He suggests another thing you could try, in addition to the others. Exercise. He speculates that exercise right before feeding kicks the metabolism into high gear. He suggests letting the snake crawl from hand to hand, or letting it crawl along the floor. (This must be what got Joe's non-feeder babies going that started feeding after he started taking them to school for a genetics class and letting them be passed around the room. Many people swear by car rides, too, and I have heard one person swear by feeding on top of a running washing machine0.

My little guy didn't eat for a while either - he had missed 2 feedings at the pet store because of shedding so when we offered a pinky about 5 days after bringing him home, he wolfed it down. But then he refused the next 3 times we tried so it ended up being 2 weeks before he ate again. Now he has eaten 3 times in a row for us and I'm feeling more confident.
What finally worked for us is putting the pinky, inside a plastic bag, in a cup of hot water for a good 30 minutes. Then I take the pinky and wash it with dish soap, making sure to rinse it real good. I fold it in a paper towel, take it downstairs, and put it in a small paper lunch bag. Then I put the snake in the bag, close it up and leave it inside his feeding cage, turn the lights off and leave him be for at least an hour.
I think the combination of the pinky having been washed, and being in such close quarters in the dark paper bag is what works for us.
Just some input from a complete newbie, so take it for what it is worth, probably about 2 cents! Good luck!

Wow really Sounds like a bunch of awsome options which do I try LoL.. Or would it be ok to try multiple ones in one attempt.. He is moving around good today.. Which he hasnt been.. Its been 5 days since i attempted with him would tonight be an ok night to try again? an if he refuses again tonight maybe fri? Or is that to much Im so anxious I dont want to do away with him..
