Catahoula.

My parents used to be in the National Catahoula Breeders Registry, or something like that, as Terra Cotta Catahoula's. In fact about 5 years after we stopped breeding dogs, my parents were still in the book handed out at the Catahoula shows in Louisiana. I have always wanted to get the business name and use it for other things, like my future reptile rescue.

This place actually has some dogs that are tied to my old dogs, I plan on getting a puppy from them, or maybe the lady who helped us start out in the 90's, if she is still breeding. http://www.monaghancatahoulas.com/pages/pedigree/mona_pedigree.html If you look closely in the G-G-Parents of Miss Mona, you can see Terra Cotta's Lena, that was a baby from my brothers dog, Stryker, and my dads dog Indie.

We had to get rid of Indie, because my dog Okie, was not nice to her, and stole at least one puppy from Indie's litter, every time she had babies... Stryker sadly got killed by a neighbor when we moved to Louisiana, the man told us that he went outside and found him face down in the dumpster, but we suspected something bad happened...

Catahoula's are by far my favorite breed of dog, I love their history and how versatile they are when it comes to working/guarding/just a pet. If anyone wants to learn the history of the breed, I will happily post links to different sites on the issue.

Obviously, when it comes to animals, Catahoula's are my first love.

I have a Catahoula named Lucy, we got her from a rescue when she was 2 months old. She is the best dog I have ever had. Such a good dog!

I hardly ever see Catahoulas in Roswell. One of my high school friends got a rescue named Niki that I think was one. I really like good old smart working breeds that will do any trick and enjoy any game.
