Yes it is, I agree. It's really hard for me to do that as well.

I had never heard of stargazers before, so this thread inspired me to do some reading up on it... it's quite interesting, albeit difficult to watch affected specimens. I admire your dedication to ensuring only healthy snakes continue on.
