Crazy Critter Lady
I just traded some extra heat tape for this guy. Its a male and it hatched 2007. The people did not really seem to know what they were talking about as they said they had a het candycane corn and a green eyed lavender corn. :nope: So I am not totally sure what this snake is. I know its NOT striped which they said it was, they also said it was an albino King, but um . . . is it just me or is it too corny to be royalty??

I don't know, they had aberrant Calis and were caling them banana kings. I have not heard of banana kings. . . One of the little kings they had for me to chose from was kind of like a q-tip motley in its markings, very neat, but I liked the look of this guy way better.

Looks like a jungle corn to me.. Which is a cali king and corn hybrid.. It doesnt look like a pure albino cali king... I also have a jurassic milk that looks like it, which is also a hybrid..

Sorry... here....

I don't know, he looks exactly like the albino California Kings listed on Faunaclassifieds. His head is a little different from my corn snakes heads, scales on the head too. What do you look at to know its a king, corn or cross?

I am no expert as I have said in many posts but to me it looks like a "jungle" as well.

The bold head pattern and super bright yellow just screams jungle corn. I went back to look at pics of the albino kings i used to breed and i definitely think your guy is a hybrid.

Banana kings are real. They rule over everything named for fruit.

Cool on the banana kings being real, will have to look them up. I just had not heard of them before.

Sigh, another Jungle. Does NO one have REAL kings??? I can not afford shipping right now UG! Come tax time I am going to put out a call for anyone with full blooded kings to pm me so I can find one I like :( I have no issues with Jungles, honest. I just REALLY want a plain ole, normal (maybe not normal colored) king snake, not hybrid. He is awesome and will be the sire to my Jungle lines but man, I want a real king.

This time last year i sold a proven pair of pure albino kings; one banded and one striped. Their only clutch survivor, my fault and not theirs, was a perfect PINK striped snake. I sold him too.

Kathy, I am FAR from an expert but the guy I got from PJC is almost as bright a yellow and I trust them when they say he is a cali king. The head shape is the same too, and not the same as my corn snakes.

Man I am so confused now, lol I do notice his eys are closer to his nostrils than my corn's, his nose is rounded, theirs is kinda blunt, the scales on his head look different. . . .I am just way confused. I do not know I can trust what they said about him being pure since they knew so little about anything else. Or maybe they are just in it for the money and using BYB techniques and terms I dunno. What are the differences between an Albino california king and a corn snake?
