You are, but it's stressful for the animals to be there, and you never know what they'll be exposed to, and then you have to deal with what to do with them when you go to lunch, etc. I wouldn't bring an animal there just for fun.

Well, I bought my ticket. I'm aiming for 9:00. I'll PM some of you my phone so we can find each other by TEXT if you want!!

You might want to PM her, Jeff. OR- I see she's reading this right now! Hi Kathy!! See you tomorrow!!

Yes, we should have some Reptilemania DVDs with us.

I wouldn't bring pet reptiles to a show unless you have a reason - such as a need to sell or trade them, get them sexed or photographed, etc. The likelihood of stress causing a problem, or the possibility of exposure to something bad is probably not really super high, but why take a risk if there is no real reason to do so?

If you want to show some of your pets to friends, it would be better to take them to your local herp society meeting. There will be fewer people, and probably very few animals there that might cause problems. Yet it would be like minded people who could appreciate seeing them. At our herp society, we offer a 5 minute "show and tell" period for anyone to come up at the beginning of the meeting and talk about their pet reptile if they want to. Maybe other herp societies would do that too, if asked.

thanx for reminding me of the risks...all i was thinking about was showing them off...:headbang:....no way i would risk the health of my babies. they will stay home then.

We will leave around.....

9 more than likely, Kenzie has some med obligations at 9.

Nanci I'm bringing the box turtle, would you mind a pillowcase?

Lucky you...

We are trying to save the cost of another hotel night, so will leave around 3 a.m.! I am NOT a morning person! I usually go to bed around 2 or 3, so tomorrow is going to be a LONG, LONG, day!

That's fine. I'll bring something else. She's not going to die on me the first day, is she??? Is she relatively okay? Except for the coyote chews?

I'm going to be wearing black pants and a lime green cornsnake dinner T-shirt. OR my turquoise Tom Crutchfield shirt with the albino iguana on the back.

I'll bring a cooler with a box with ice packs. And a mist bottle.

She is healthy otherwise.....

as far as I can tell. Shell is like no other I've ever seen. Like somebody peeled back a layer or two.

I guess I'll have to get her in to the vet. Good thing I'm on vacation!! Are you sure you have a female? Of course, you know how to tell. Just this is the season for males to be out and about.

Just finished packing...

We have to leave in about 3 hours, so guess I should try to get a little sleep.

Looks like I have a couple dozen babies from Chuck and Connie that have already fed twice, so I will be bringing them (along with a bunch of blotched kings). Most of them are just normal, anery, charcoal, lav, etc, but they are going to produce some cool critters someday. There are some great combo hets in some of the babies; cinder, blood, lava, charcoal, hypo, lav, sunkissed, etc. I pulled 3 aside for myself, but the others are coming.

Stop by and say "hi"! Bill will be doing his photo seminar (not sure when), so bring your camera if you are interested. See y'all soon!

Just got home from the show. Was great meeting you Kathy, and thank you for the DVD. I cant wait to watch it. You are such a nice person to talk to.
