Breeder and Handler
sounds good. oh btw ill be wearing a cut up shirt with a tye dyed snake skin print bikini top standing next to a dude with a pony tail...lol just set a time and well try to meet there
sounds good to me....newbies maybe we should meet at Kathy's table?
...But it will be mostly drygoods, as usual.
You are, but it's stressful for the animals to be there, and you never know what they'll be exposed to, and then you have to deal with what to do with them when you go to lunch, etc. I wouldn't bring an animal there just for fun.
thanx for reminding me of the risks...all i was thinking about was showing them off...:headbang:....no way i would risk the health of my babies. they will stay home then.Yes, we should have some Reptilemania DVDs with us.
I wouldn't bring pet reptiles to a show unless you have a reason - such as a need to sell or trade them, get them sexed or photographed, etc. The likelihood of stress causing a problem, or the possibility of exposure to something bad is probably not really super high, but why take a risk if there is no real reason to do so?
If you want to show some of your pets to friends, it would be better to take them to your local herp society meeting. There will be fewer people, and probably very few animals there that might cause problems. Yet it would be like minded people who could appreciate seeing them. At our herp society, we offer a 5 minute "show and tell" period for anyone to come up at the beginning of the meeting and talk about their pet reptile if they want to. Maybe other herp societies would do that too, if asked.
That's fine. I'll bring something else. She's not going to die on me the first day, is she??? Is she relatively okay? Except for the coyote chews?
I'm going to be wearing black pants and a lime green cornsnake dinner T-shirt. OR my turquoise Ben Siegal shirt with the albino iguana on the back.
