So, ever since my wife and I lost Loki, we have been going to the Adoption day's at Petco. Today was one such day, but they only had 2 dogs there, and neither one was what I was looking for, so instead we went to the Farmers Market and found out that they had a shelter there doing rescue's too.
Well, when we walked up we noticed they had a few puppy's and some older dogs, and then we noticed this little girl sitting over by herself. She seemed very nice and wagged her tail and licked our hands, well the guy working asked if we wanted to walk her on the leash and we said sure. When he pulled her out she immediately went into "I am scared of everything!" mode and almost got away from him. Right at that moment I told my wife that we needed to take her home.
The lady who runs the shelter came up to me and asked which one I was filling out paperwork for and when I told her she said that the dog is lucky to have someone want to take her after she was acting so scared. She also went on to inform me that she was on the list for the next group of dogs to be euthanized.
I can tell you that I have never been so happy to get a new pet, my wife was walking her around while I filled out the paper work and she fell in love with her.
The tag on her kennel said that she is a pit bull mix, I am not sure what all she has in her, but I can tell that she has had puppies, at least once before.
Oh, the adoption fee is $75 and that includes vaccines, micro-chip, sterilization, and registration tag.
And now for what I know you have all been waiting for, a link to the pictures.
I set them as public, so you should all be able to see her.
