LauRuffian
Perpetual Newbie
Poor babies! I saw these pathetic girls at the store where we sell our babies and offered to take them home and put weight on them. They weren't eating at all and are half the size of their amel clutchmates, still in the store. They are a pitiful 5 grams--the hatchweight of my smallest babies this year, who have nearly doubled that on their little frames.
After handling my little guys and then switching over to these, it was horrifyingly evident how weak they are. But great news! I got them both to take a pinkie last night.
I normally don't weight directly on the scale as my "kids" won't stay anywhere near still enough to get a reading. These weak little things didn't have the strength to scurry away or explore.
Pretty, skinny little thing
Happy full belly #1!
Happy full belly #2!
I look forward to posting progress pics as these little ladies perk up.
