DragonBoy
Crazy Cornsnake Breeder
I am not sure why but since the events of the summer took place I just have not been able to keep up with my web site and email and list serves and etc.
Breeding season went good, show sales were good too. However it's like my drive is simply gone. I used to work 60+ hours a week at the hospital and have plenty of time for everything else. Since the lay off in late summer I work barely 40 hours a week in my sales job and don't seem to have the energy for anything else.
I have a show this weekend and I have decided to take all the ball pythons except my two pets (the albino and the woma) and anything normal. This will put a hurting on breeding season next year because the bulk of my mature females are visual normals het for this that and the other. That would leave me with a lot of Ghost's, butters and lavenders and motleys and a handful of stripes. I have a few anerys and a few amels as well.
It would leave me with Miami's, classic bloods, upper keys, butters, carmels, ambers, gold dust, cinnamon, hypos and ultras.
I think it would take me from 85 mature females to about 30 going this route.
There are no classic males in the place. Cleaned them out last fall. I have also eliminated the texas rats, the bulls, the gophers and the pueblos.
I would have cal kings, florida kings, nelson's, and hondurans for non corn species. All my hondurans are female which means I need to find an adult male or two.
I am sorry I am rambling...just need opinions please.
thanks
