I just bought a rosy boa from a pet store a couple days ago. its orange and white. when i got it home i noticed what seemed to look like a little bruise almost on his head, but figured that was just it's coloring. i fed it and it ate like a champ and seemed perfectly fine. however this morning when i was holding it, he was moving kinda jerky, like was "studder stepping" like those chamelons do. sometimes he would move regularly and sometimes he would do that start stop jerky moving. do you think he was dropped before i got him and hit his head? or am i just being paranoyed? thanks!

If it was a Corn Snake (you're in the Corn Snake section, by the way) I'd say that was classic mating behaviour. However, horny Boas are a bit outside my experience!

Try asking in the General Chit-Chat section where more non-Corn people hang out and might be able to answer?

My sister-in-law's rosy does that sometimes... we call it his "hunting" behaviour. He usually is showing extreme interest in our fingers when he does it. o_O
