Paula Hata? Don't Open This One...

She shed earlier today, and I'm psyched that she's staying very dark. It's with no "sour grapes" attitude that I say that her somewhat weak diffusion is not a disappointment. I love everything about her look. :)

She is very pretty. Nice zig in her pattern. Is she getting more diffused at all, just out of curiosity.
Don't you have a dark male as well?

Thanks. I can't really say that I noticed her getting much more diffused between the last shed and this one. I'm sure she is; she seems to be losing contrast between her background color and her pattern. Yes, I do have a male. He is dark, but not nearly as dark as she is. But unlike her, Paul has some pretty heavy diffusion going on:

Wow, there is a tremendous difference in the diffusion there. Both are amazing. I would love to see some of the diffused morphs "in person". Maybe I'll get to hit the show next year. :)
I am always amazed by the variety and quality you have in your collection. You have the admiration of many us. And the envy of just as many

Yeah, they all look different in person than they do in pics. Most actually look a lot better. My poor coral snows are the best example-- they look nasty in pics, but in person, they are really pretty.

That's a nice thing to say. I guess I can take a little credit for raising them to the best of my ability, but the real credit goes to the breeders (Rich Z., Rich H., Kathy L., Don S., Carol H., Tim B.; Stephen W.). I also got lucky in what these guys sent me. You can't go wrong with anyone on that list. :)

I just don't know which one I like better. The male has some serious rosy tones coming through the picture (which I love) & some nice diffusion. But...I love them darker snakes with a nice pattern.

Ah well, I guess I'm doomed to love all your snakes, and I will just have to send you evil jealous vibes through the computer :twoguns:
:grin01:

Thanks. No, they are pewters (charcoal bloodreds). I'd like to see a little more of yours before I try to guess what it is. Looks like a granite (anery bloodred) from that pic. :)

When I saw the title I thought "now WHO is Paula Hata and WHY shouldn't she open this one?" :grin01:

Roy/Dean, Paula is beautiful as ever! I still need to get pics of Izumi, but gosh I have been busier than a 1 legged man in a butt kicking contest lately! :sidestep:
