I really don't like ladders.
My roof has been leaking, and I bought the stuff to patch it. I was going to use my ladder at first, but it was too short. Borrowed neighbor's, but it was rickety. (This is over the course of a week, meanwhile leak gets worse and worse) Finally found somebody else who let me borrow a taller, sturdier one. Today I finally did it, I got on my roof and patched the leak! It was so hard to do.. Not the patching, just getting up there to do the work. I was halfway up and I started shaking, the ladder started shaking as well , my legs were like sewing machines. I kind of froze scared to go up or come back down. The only thing that kept me going was knowing I can't afford a roofer... It was silly, I wouldn't of even fallen that far. I know it is just an irrational fear. Anyway 2 hours later I am still on an adrenaline rush... I did it!! I cleaned the gutters while I was up there too.
Whew, I lived! But my patch better work, I don't ever want to go up there again! I'm fine with heights, it's the ladders that get you there that I hate..
I know susang hates snails, what about everyone else?

I'm not very good with feet, specifically feet with great long finger-like toes. They make me feel nauseous.

Heights. Used to be deathly afraid of heights, then i got a job as a wireless telecoms engineer and spent most of my time 40ft+ in the air on a very badly maintained cherry picker or climbing around on the roofs of buildings! Didn't struggle too much with it after a while.

Still hate ladders though.

I really don't like anything to do with spit or yellow fingernails or toenails. Like especially nicotine-stained fingernails- that really creeps me out.

Tons of phobias here, crowds but I can control that pretty much, so I hate malls and Walmart... Real phobias rats I was terrified of rats until I got them. If anyone who knew me would have seen me whining and simpering at the clerk trying to get me to touch the rat, just touch. I started crying had to walk outside, went back in finally touched her. Admit I'm still a little freeked by them, but nothing like before.
Now my biggest phobia snails and slugs. I'm going to try to get past the snails this year, but slugs never. The sad thing is Oregon has those big huge banana slugs,:puke02:

Hm, I sort of love snails and slugs. I feed a lot of slugs to my boxies, and always feel sorry for them.

One of my phobias is drive-through car washes. You know the type where you have to drive your car into the carwash. I hate those. I use them all the time, but I still get kind of freaked out. I'm not too bothered by the ones that use water jets, but the ones that use the brushes are horrible! I used one last week and it was just awful. I know its silly and irrational, but its there...:uhoh: I also have phobias about maggots and mold. Mealworms don't bother me, because they have that exoskeleton, but maggots seem so squishy. I'm getting the willies just thinking about them. And mold is just sooooo beyond gross. It comes in so many colors and varieties... I don't know what's worse...white mold or green mold or black mold, they are all so gross.

I am afraid of bio-warfare. I don't like germs, and I get sick really easily. I have a phobia that some terrible virus will come and wipe everyone out in some terrible way. After watching Outbreak the first time, I could barely eat for days....

Heights, I can't go up 2 steps on a ladder I start shaking and stuff. I am not afraid of roller coasters though. Also, bugs. I can scream like a little girl if a fly comes near me, it's rather funny.

Tornados. I'm afraid of hurricanes, but at least you have plenty of warning. I got attacked by a tornado while I was sleeping. luckily at that time I lived in a substantial house. Now I'm in a mobile home...

My only severe phobia is of spiders. I have always been terrified of them. Although it has been a little better lately - I can now look at them in tanks as long as they don't move. But if they move I jump and run at high speed.

Ghosts. I am a firm believer in ghosts and they scare me to death, just the thought of seeing one *shudders*

Also I'm really afraid of the dark, mainly because of my fear of ghosts. I have panic if I don't know where the light switch is, or if the power goes out. Really bad.

I was like that until I saw a black shadow in an old ouse I used to live in, only to find out a guy was burned alive there.
I'm a strong believer in the after life, and call me crazy but I believe in Osiris and Isis and stuff.

I would literally just faint. I am deathly afraid of stuff like that. A friend of a friend lives in a house in Kansas who has two ghosts in his house. A little boy and a little girl. He's seen them many times, but they don't so anything.

Still if I saw that, I would probably die.
