Pics of 2004's Hatchlings (Clutch #1)

Taceas

USW = UB313
Dialup Warning: Big pictures and lots of them.

These guys hatched out June 28-29 and all of them shed yesterday. =)

Parents are: Motley het Amel (F)x Serpenco Amel Motley het Caramel (M)

Out of 16 eggs at laying, 14 went full term, 13 hatched.
10 females and 3 males. Not bad eh? ;)

All are 50% poss het caramel/butter. *Thanks Joe!*

EDIT: FYI, none of these snakes has fed yet. I won't be releasing any of them for sale until they've fed at least 3 times voluntarily. I will be happy to put it on hold for you until it's eaten. You can change your mind at any time.

After they've fed, I'll be re-posting them all over on the For Sale section. Hope to see you there!

the number 8 male looks a little hyperxanthic.... unfortunatley we can't sell poss. hets as hets. based on looks. Great looking snakes! :crazy02:

All these great baby pictures are making me think about breeding. Please stop it! No, don't, maybe if I see enough of your great babies I'll know I can't compete.

Charlene,

Yes, they will be for sale once they've fed 3 times for me.

Price is going to be: $35 for normals and $40 for amels.

Beautiful babies!! Do you have pics of the parents?!

Another question... how do you sex them!? they are so small!?

Here's a picture of the parents:

I sex the hatchlings by "popping" them. If done correctly and gently, you can evert the hemipenes of the male snakes. Females don't evert them and thus you can tell the difference.

WOW!!! Mom and dad have awesome colors!!! :) is the female a bloodred!?!

... i already try popping my corns when they were young but with no success, i fear hurting them! :eek1:

Nice snakes Misty! I love the #6 snake how she has a pair of the circles connected. They look like little bench press bars with weights on them. :)

Cornsnake234: No, the female is not bloodred at all. She just has one heck of an infusion of red on her. But due to her deep red I do have breeding plans for her with my male bloodren when he gets the proper size for breeding. ;)

As for popping I felt the same way last year. Thats why I had a friend of mine who frequents this site drop by and show me how. I had done it before she got there and I was accurate on all but one. Just takes a wee bit of practice.

Babbaloo99: Barbells you mean? Glad you like her. =)

Nice~~

those little ones look great~
I like #12 the colors and patterns are great on that one~!
