Wadjet's family
He was out cruising his tank, so I offered him a feeder. The only time he's eaten for us since we got him in December was kind of "oh. a rat. Guess I should eat it". Every other time it's been "Yeah, not doing that".

This was an active strike on the tongs-I've never seen that snake move so fast-he missed, probably because I dropped the feeder. He definitely didn't miss the 2nd time, though. Wow! Wadjet is fairly aggressive at killing her dead mice, but she's never attacked them on the tongs (and, in fact, I often don't even bother to use them when giving her a mouse).

I figure that's a good sign that the ice storm early in the week was really the last gasp of winter!
 
I have both BPs and corns and as a general rule, my BPs are MUCH more aggressive feeders. That, of course, is not counting the times they just don't feel like eating, which they also do more than the corns do. But when they want to eat, they don't hesitate!

I suspect that is a large part of why feeding live is fairly accepted amongst the BP people but so strongly frowned upon here. That and the fact that BPs can be more picky and harder to get them to take f/t.
