Plasma Stripe

I was finally able to get some decent picture of this wiggly one. His colors are just incredible. I can't believe he's mine. Now I just have to wait for a sunny warm day to get some nice natural light outdoor shots. Also I need a name. Suggestions?

Yep- Lucky I was local :) I always thought a plasma stripe would be cool, but I just can't believe how striking they are in person.

So stinkin' pretty! I love how she looks purple when she's on white next to the purple flowers, and pink when she's on the rock! I bet she's breathtaking in person!

It is funny to me how light comes into it. If it's a bit overcast he seems to be more purple/grey- but in the sunlight he looks more pink. It's why I can't wait to get some outdoor shots this spring.

He looks so much like my possible plasma stripe boy. Il try and get some close up side shots of mine to compare to yours. Id love mine to be homo diffused.

The belly is the only way you can make a somewhat good guess- if you can see the clear scales.

Nanci- he was from a collaborative project with you and Colorado corns right? I'd love to know more about his history.

No- John had plasma stripes from some arrangement with Rich Hume. And he _may_ have hatched some himself. So from the same family, but not from a breeding I did with John. The only plasma stripe collaboration I have is with Carol.

Quick outside picture from today. He's a very quick little guy. Guess I'll have to practice at this picture taking thing :)

Such a beautiful snake. I see so few plasma stripes. Nanci, it would be lovely to see updates of Hyacinth.

I've given her many opportunities to breed, but she has not consented. Her mate is Gator, plasma het stripe. I guess I just got so stressed and hurt by hatching a kinked plasma stripe last season, I'm not trying hard this year. But I did also hatch Jola, who is not kinked, and has been examined by a vet. So she's just growing up and waiting to find out if she is going on to a new home or staying. She's a very cool snake- always begging at the front of her bin, hoping it is feeding day. I'll get updated pics, soon.

Thank you all for the nice comments! Nanci- maybe Hyacinth's playing hard to get? I mean, I can understand why a very pretty girl like that would be extra picky. How old is Jola?
