Even though the grandma to these was purchased from Rich (as a Charcoal Ghost, but proved to be a Phantom Anery)
Technically yes, but at the time I purchased grandma, Charcoal Ghost was intended for "just" a Hypo Charcoal . . . In fact, double checking just now, Rich still has them listed that way from his 2007 price list:Maybe I am an idiot, but isn't a charcoal ghost the same thing as a phantom anery (hypo charcoal anery, right?)?
Well . . . that's a story for another day. Does it really need to be told in order to name the morph?!So Brent, how DO you tell a platinum from a phantom? Any subtle cues? How did you know your first platinums were really platinums?
Me too!! It's just yummy!! Cherry Pie ain't too bad either. :uhoh:I like Peach Cobbler.
No of course not. I just remember you asking me once if I thought my phantom (from Serpenco) might be one. I figured since you knew yours were platinums certainly enough to dub them, you must know how to tell. Perhaps while I'm away collecting data, my phantom will come visit you, and then you can figure it out for me!Well . . . that's a story for another day. I only know from tracking the genetics! In fact, I bred Granny P'num (yep, new nickname!) in '04 to a Normal het Amel, Anery, Hypo and got some Ghosts. I assumed Granny P'num was only het Anery at that point . . . I as quite surprised when she gave me all Anery morphs in '05.I just remember you asking me once if I thought my phantom (from Serpenco) might be one. I figured since you knew yours were platinums certainly enough to dub them, you must know how to tell.
Now that's an intriquing idea . . . hmmm.Perhaps while I'm away collecting data, my phantom will come visit you, and then you can figure it out for me!![]()
But from what I can see, the combination of 'A' Anerythrism, Charcoal, and 'A' Hypomelanism makes "Platinum" a pretty fitting name for that particular combo.![]()
Consider yourself on the proverbial "waiting list".There you have it. That's about as official as you can get! :dancer:
For what it is worth...I like the name....and I want to be on the waiting list!![]()
