The bickering is not needed.
Trade names will happen - they have to. Some are rather self explanatory, some are not.
I think in this case, since these look so much like phantom and encompass the phantom genotype, my *personal* opinion is that phantom should be part of the trade name - IE adjective Phantom.
But - some trade name I think is necessary, just for user friendliness. Lots of people who buy corns don't have a clue about simple genetics and don't care to. Using the accepted genetic name description (which in some cases may not even be scientifically accurate as far as the real cause) only confuses them, and they look elsewhere, for something they can pronounce.
Ultimately, you call them whatever you want to, and whatever catches on in the market is whatever catches on in the market, regardless of what a poll on an internet forum chose.
