I'm aware that this snake is an amelanistic. I was hoping someone might be able to shed some more light on its genetics/morph.

Thanks. I am trying to get my head around all the different terms used like het, motley, hypo etc. are any of these terms relevant for this snake,

You wouldn't be able to tell if your snake was "het" for anything unless you bred it. Being "het" ex: Amel- het motley means your snake is carrying a recessive gene for motley, which is a pattern modifier.
Hypo means than your snake is lacking some, but not all melanin.
My little Riddle is a Hypo.

http://iansvivarium.com/ has a good guide on morphs if you want to check it out.
There's also a great guide to common terms right here on this forum: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91890
