Yes everyone in my house gets a name. If it came with a name than I keep it, if it didn't than I name it. I do have to admit that I have a few babies here that don't have a name yet and it is driving me nuts. Most of the babies that I breed get named a theme. I did have one clutch that I couldn't come up with a them so they can named letter and number combos but that is what I called them.

I give the names of all snakes. Most are very funny:

corn snakes
1. Pushok (fluffy in English) - normal male
2. Ainagul - amel stripe female
3. Gulnara - hypo female
4. Lafresa - stripe female
5. Zhmyh (a cake in English) - anery stripe male
6. Snezhinka (snow flake in English) - snow stripe female
7. Burzum - anery male
8. Fenya - normal male
9. Kozyaziy (little shrimp in English) - aztec male
10. Stepan - tessera male
11. Fyokla - tessera female
12. Barsik - motley male

honduran snakes:
1. Apelsinka (orange in English) - female
2. Iosif (like Stalin) - male

yellow-red night Mexican rat snake female - Evelin

ball pythons:

1. Marusya - female
2. Vasya - male
3. Limon - male lemon-pastel
4. Dusya - pastel female

and Boa c. c. imperator male - Udya (Eduard/Edward)

:)

All of my reptiles have names but I have a cat (3 years now) that still doesn't have a name <<scratching head>>

My niece named my first snake:
"King" since he's a king snake, I added "Ghidorah" after the 3 headed monster from Godzilla films.
My next snake an amel who I rescued was named "creamscicle" a name I didnt think fit so I renamed him "Leiutenant Dan" after the character in forest gump. Simply because he had no legs. Perfect for a snake.
Next came a snow corn that I gave 3 names but couldn't decide what fit until his character for being very quick to hide and disappear into his hides and substrates. I figured he was a sneaky little one so I settled on naming him "Chancellor Palpatine" after the most famous evil character from Star Wars that everyone tends to forget is there. As he grows I'll change his name to "The Emperor". Right now he's just a chancellor :)

My final addition a buckskin okeetee, I wanted to name as an honor to my favorite German shepherd named Whisky who I know longer have. I also liked all the leadership names I've had going so far (King, Leuitenant, Chancellor) so why not add a "Captain Morgan" which also is my fave choice of liquor.

I'm probably going to be adding another to my list soon now that Lt. Dan is gone. No name picked out yet.

I name all mine after they've eaten at least once, though babies for selling will probably just get numbers.
My hognose have Tolkien names depending on genetics. Amel/hets are elves, normals are hobbits (Rosie, Nibs) and het lavender/possible het lavender are dwarves. This also helps me keep track of who's carrying what without looking at their sheet. Double hets are going to get more confusing though.

My keepers are all named or will be. It can take a very long time to come up with some names. A few though, have gotten names right away. I have a fair number of pairs that look the same or arrived at the same time. Little-Red-Riding hood, Red for short, and Grant. Holly and Chris. Jimmy and Sue. Honey Bee and Honey Badger.
If they came with a name, I keep the name, Louie and Vinny.
I do have a batch of 2013's that mostly just have numbers, as a few more of these might leave. The one that has gotten a name will definitely be staying, that's Homey.

All of my reptiles have names. My corns are both named after Japanese snake demons, my rubber boa is named "earthworm" in Japanese, my western hognose is named "hogwort (or several variations therein). My beardies are Sid and Nancy. I will be going to the next reptile show and hopefully FINALLY picking up a bloodred which will need a good name

I do name mine. Sometimes it takes a while for me to find the right name, though. Lol

ETA: Now that I'm on a computer, I wanted to say more. lol

While I don't have an exact "theme" for naming my snakes, I generally try to think of obscure or side characters from movies/video games/TV shows/etc that I like. Some are more obscure than others. lol

Reggie (Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark - it's the snake in the plane during the opening sequence)
Una (Stardust)
Tael (The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - I also used to have his sister, "Tatl")
Tippy (Pixar Short "One Man Band" - the little girl's name)
Celia (Monster's Inc.)
Juju (The Princess and the Frog)
Envy (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World)
Roxy (also Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - I hatched Roxy myself and she was baby #4 of that clutch ;) )
Rayne (main character from a webcomic)

These two don't fit the "theme":

Racecar (my two-year old son named him the day he hatched out this season. lol)
Dallara (Racecar's sister... I was looking to keep with the racing theme)

Finally, there is Nag (my MBK). My husband named him. I think it's one of the snake characters from Rikki Tikki Tavi?

A resounding yes! However, I do not name my fish, unless they are charismatic ones that I only have one or two of. I have a 75 gallon with a 10" pike cichlid and a 5" jack dempsey cichlid. I haven't named them yet but that's because I'm very particular.

My first corn snake is a normal morph, and his coloration changes similar to the evolution of the pokemon "charmander". So, his name is charmander, and his name changes as he ages and progresses. Goes from Charmander --> Charmeleon --> Charizard.

I got a butter corn snake that is golden in color and will be for the duration of his existence, so his name is "Goldmember"

Two weeks ago at a reptile expo in my hometown (first ever!), I got a sub-adult california kingsnake. I named him "Richard the Lionhearted". Props to anyone that gets his namesake, because only two of my friends did before I had to explain it.

A big part of the fun for me is picking out a name when I get a new snake, so yes, all of mine get names. I usually like to pick people names, because I think they're hilarious and cute on snakes.

Everything is named:

Nox and Kash (charcoal...named by Katie/ArpeggioAngel)
Darque (blood red)
Angel (snow)
Enki (lavender)
Nina (normal)
Ghosty (my daughter's ghost)
Kusanagi (also a ghost)
Glaceon (blizzard)
Onyx (charcoal)
Psyche (Sonoran dwarf boa...her first saddle is heart-shaped)
Cupid (hypo boa who has a very reddish color)
Punkin (crested gecko, solid orange)
Charmander (crested gecko...flame)
Toothless (bearded dragon)
Boo (kitty)
Maya (dog)
Thor and Loki (chinchillas)

Not to be contradictory, but I do not name my snakes. I think of them as a collection, rather than pets, but this does not mean that I have no concern for them, or that I consider them to be mere objects. I do recognize that many have distinct behaviors, and a small few have managed to acquire "nicknames". One particularly grouchy (and beautiful) female Okeetee is sometimes referred to by a name that rhymes with "itch". I have a Honduran that I think of as "Slinky" because of her habit of springing out of your hands when you don't expect it, and one Coral Snow boy I have can literally fly out of his tub the moment you open it, so I scribbled "Wallenda" on his ID tag. They do all have unique numbers, however.

Yes, when I had tortoises, they were Russians so names, Sasha and Anastasia. Our first and so far only Corn is named Chara after my daughter, Kerry's favorite hockey player.
Everything/one gets a name, even my palm tree, he is Bob :)

Of course they get names! I decides to name all of my corns after names of gods and goddesses.

M-Amel-Ares
F-Blizzard-Antheia
F-Normal-Flora
F-Okeetee-Medeina

F-Colombian Boa-Artemis
M-Ball Python-Monty

I also name my tarantulas, but I have over 40 of those so I won't bother listing all their names here.
