Portland Metro Expo Picture Thread

Great pictures, Jessica....except for maybe that one of me with food in my mouth! :eatpointe.... but it was good food.... Jen's cinnamon rolls! Anyway, it was definitely a good day and lots of fun! Thanks for sharing all your nice pictures!

Great pics Jessica! I wish I could have gone to the show!

It would have been awesome to see you!

I love the BPs, as always. Like you, I'd love a BumbleBee.

I was glad to see you at the expo, even though it was only for a minute or so. I feel so lucky, I was just showing my boyfriend pictures of the BPs at the show, and the Bumble bee caught his eye as well! He said that once we can afford it, we can get one and that it will be our first baby. He's so sweet. :santa:

Crap, I knew there was something I wanted to do yesterday but totally forgot about the show. :headbang:

Oh noez!!! Actually, there were a few Hoggies there, and whenever I saw one I thought of you. I was wondering if you were vending. Guess not!

I love the shot of the BP with the aspen on his nose..
hehe, ya that one is so fun. It made the little guy so personable, I wanted to hug him... if that's really even possible with a snake.

I love capturing sweet little moments like that. "Candid" snake camera. I really appreciate my macro lens at expos. I get surprisingly detailed shots that I don't think I would be able to get with a normal lens.

Great pics, Jessica. And lovely ladies, too. I like putting faces with pics.

Thanks! Also, I know what you mean. It was my first time meeting a few of these people, and it is nice to now have a visual reference for them.

Great expo pics! And wow thanks for taking all those great photos of my corns, too! I love those PDF. Those, and the carnivorous plants, always make me kinda want to set up a tropical rainforest- type viv, if only they didn't seem so high maintenance.
(Oh, and that's Nancy in the one pic and her corns at the Greasy Creek table ;) )

Of course!! I had SO MUCH FUN photographing your snakes. One of my favorite things to do is photographing snakes, and yours photographed so beautifully. I love some of portraits I got.

I feel the same way about the PDFs. I actually tried to make a live terrarium once but it was too expensive for me. I'd be afraid that the care would be too intensive, and after spending all that money the frogs might not make it. PDFs are a "someday" dream for me.

Also, thanks for reminding me of Nancy's name! I was kind of embarrassed that I forgot it.

Oops! Yea, I debated weather or not to include it, but K.Rene's expression is so cute in that one.

Also, I've got more pictures! I still have to post the ones I took of your brood! Last night I just needed to take a little break, but the encore begins... NOW!

I love that cinder pair!

I really wish I could have afforded them! The female has such great color, and the male is such a sweetie. Like I said, I kinda fell in love with him. I just couldn't resist taking him out and snapping some more pictures..

Then there was this guy.. I really wanted him, and went back and forth on getting him for pretty much the whole show. I decided to be good and wait, because I have two snakes arriving on Thursday. My main issue is space, and I didn't want to get over zealous and end up shorting myself a tub.

So here he is, the left behind Ghost Bloodred Male
P1013653.jpg

I told myself if I see him at the next expo I'll definitely buy him for my GBR girl.
P1013654.jpg

Unfortunatly, I told myself that at the LAST expo as well.. here he is from back then.
_1019604.jpg

Ah well, he was $15 cheaper at this expo, let's see what he's at next time. I have a feeling I'll be rushing over to Evergreen first thing expo..

I took a picture of this guy cause I really like his "neck cuff" marking. No hets were listed at this table, I wonder what his could be..
P1013863.jpg

Also, I was a little late on this one, I really wish it was a little more in focus. It's too cute not to post though..
P1013861.jpg

Here are the rest of the corn pictures I have from the expo.

A few from Tropical hut..

This little Opal was so cute.

Here's a snake that has been on my "someday" wish list ever since I handled a REALLY RED adult an an expo a few years ago. The babies are cute.
P1013813.jpg

This guy had a few clutches mixed together though, and not all of them were in the best shape.. for example, there was one missing an eye. They were pretty, but I was not about to buy one.

The Hoggies!

This guy was so beautiful.. I didn't like seeing him in such a small container.

Another cool snake that I thought would make a nice subject.

Alrighty, time for the last post. Across from our table was another BP breeder. They had some beautiful snakes.

The awesome Killer Bee.. that I think Wendy ended up with?

Yep, that's my new baby killer bee. His name is Buzz.

I'm pretty sure the other one is a calico. It's a more subtle morph.

Thanks again for taking and posting such nice pictures, Jessica! :)

Oh noez!!! Actually, there were a few Hoggies there, and whenever I saw one I thought of you. I was wondering if you were vending. Guess not!

Yeah, unfortunately the last 2 weeks for me has been terribly hectic, having had to amputate our 16 year old dogs tail due to him chewing part of it off for unknown reasons and having been selected to serve jury duty on a trial this last week, I just totally forgot about the show.

I had contemplated on vending at it a couple months back but all I really have for sale were some normal males and some anaconda males and I wasn't sure that it'd be worth my time not having much of a selection and the anacondas are still quite expensive. Maybe when the next show presents itself later this year I'll have more to offer and show off.

Looks like all of you had a great time and saw a lot of amazing animals. :)

Awesome pics Jess, the ones I took on my video camera came out okay. I might add a few of them to here later. Glad we got to meet you. Can't wait for the next show. Hopefully the Reptile 4h Club I'm starting up will be rockin' and rolling by then :D

Additional Pics :D

Let me just say that jess took some beautiful pics. I would have loved to bring my Nikon D50 (SLR) camera but it's kinda big and the PDX expo gets cramped really fast. I used my little samsung camcorder that takes okay stills. Here are some my BF and I took, glad you got pics of snakes Jess because we didn't lol

1. A Beardie enjoying some lettuce
2. A Beardie making eyes at me
3. A baby Beardie from Greasy Creek holding a fun tail pose
4. A PacMan Frog
5. Some Chameleons playing hard to get lol

I just got a quarter size PDF tattoo behind my ear last week. They are so cute.

Thanks for sharing all the pictures. It looked like the expo was a lot better then the one that was in Cleveland this month.
