Prairie King Snake **Pic included**

Beothon Lover

The One an Only Kuro....
Does any one have one of these?

I'm just curious cause I'm getting one(yes Nanci, i know I'm turning into Mike) and it seems that Prairie Kings aren't very popular and in the wild are sometimes mistaken for Fox Snakes.

The one I'm getting is a 2006 hatchling....don't know wether it's a male or female...John(Breeder and owner of the store where the king is at) said he probe the snake for me before I take he/she home on Friday...John tried to sex him/her by using the popping method but that didn't work so John's going to have to probe him/her.

The Pic....(this is NOT a pic of the one I'm getting)

If you guys could give me some names(both male and female) i appreciate it I'm having a brain fart on names for pets this week and need some ideas for a name. I like names that are in a foreign tongue(but easy to say) that have interesting meanings(ex: Hitzami means "strong one"). All names appreciated!

Two names so far(from sister)....
Mikail(my-kale) for a boy
Phaedra(fay-dra) for a girl

Cflaguy- mine is pretty calm but does have his/her moments where he/she is particularly fiesty. Mine eats well too...though he/she will only eat live pinks..he/she is the only 2006 hatchling of John's that he(John) couldn't convert to f/t and i think that its pretty good that out of 300-500 baby colubrids only one won't eat f/t, I don't mind live..i have two snakes that wont take anything but live.

Mine has interesting patterns...

on his tail. He won't hold still long enough for a good pic. This is one of the better ones.

Cflaguy- I can see the zig-zag pattern on his tail...very interesting. Don't remember if mine has any interesting patterns or not...have to look and take pics when i go pick he/she up on friday. Yours looks to be about the same size as mine.

Pretty snakey! I have no idea about a name. He was planned already, right? You'd been looking at him for a while? How's the chameleon doing??

Nanci

Nanci- the king has been at John's store for a few months now and i've always admired the little squirt from afar(mom wouldn't let me have him/her at first cause he/she only eats live and she felt sorry for the little live pinkies..but she gave in..lol). As for the chameleon she isn't home...i went to get her sunday and John said she'd gotten down off the branch he'd put her on and he hadn't found her yet...i've been calling him everyday after school to see if he's found her yet but he hasn't...he says he should of found her by now and he thinks someone might of walked off with her...which is really sad if that did happen cause i was really looking forward to having her.
