Does anyone here talk to their snake? I always get asked why I talk to mine since he can't really hear me. I just think it would be kinda weird to have a pet but never talk to them.

LOL--When I had my snake, I talked to him, sang to him, watched MASH with him...I think they can feel the vibrations of the sound and it interests them.

Seek Help. J/k I don't talk to my snake however, I do talk to my dog. I have know idea how this info can help you but Im incredibly board tonight.

rofl, glad to know I'm not the only person that watches tv with their snake. I'll get him out and we'll curl up in a blanket. My dad thinks I've lost it.

I talk to both my snakes all the time, I alway say good morning/evening/night and tell them when I am going out etc...... I know it is totally crackers but they are my little mates in thier own special way.

hehehehe, interesting topic here
but i too talk to mine, i too say to them good morning, etc, i always tell them where im going or when im going out, etc, i also ask them whether they are too hot or cold, lol, not that they can answer but i always thought they had sound thingys above their nostrils or eyes or something?
could someone confirm this or deny it for me pls?
i also give them kisses goodnight. haha

*wait.........................
wheres everyone running off too? im not crazy................really!*
haha. they are my ultimate darling. i adore them. im forever asking if they are feeling okay or if something wrong too. :) :crazy02:

I even use a silly voice for some strange reason!!!!..... They have come to take me back to the assylum now..... bye-bye :sidestep:

hehe cindy, i too think the men in white coats will come for me soon.
i do the same thing also. my dad keeps threatening to lock me away in the shed. lol

Guilty as charged also! I have quite animated conversations with my lot. They generally make more sense than humans...

Ok, I admit...

Damn you snake people, I admit it, I talk to my snake too. I love them, each and every single FRICKEN one of them I call them my babies and I let them crawl on my chest when Im watching tv, Im glad I foung this site you people make me feel like Im not the only odd ball in our choice of pets. My fam want to put me on meds!!

I think it's only fair that after all the wasted hours my snake spends staring at me (maybe trying to communicate ESP stylee...), I say one or two words back to him. Mostly, I just wave or stick my tongue out.

I'm sure our snakes appreciate it :)

Tracee, You stick YOUR tongue out.... hmm... you've been hypnotised, it wasn't ESP..... your learning the language..... speaking in tongues .....(no offence intended to anyone) RESPECT

Maybe so! Well it is rude to stare, and I think he understands the tongue-sticky-out thing, so it makes sense to me anyway :)

I talk to all my animals and that includes the snakes. I even ask then questions as if they're going to answer.......I need help!

Talking to your pets is a perfectly normal and healthy behavior. Many animals even have a way of talking back to you, if you know how to listen (my dog is currently telling me that one of the cats is by the kitchen window, and the cat is telling me that I haven't put fresh food in the dish yet tonight). Howeven, when you actually start to hear their little voices speaking your language, it is time to increase your medication.

I have always talked to all of my pets, and surely this one is no exception...I treat him like a baby as well, asking him questions in a high pitched voice, and I kiss him all the time. In fact, I think that he gets tired of me kissing him, but he's gotten used to it by now...You'd be amazed (or maybe not) the looks :eek1: I get in public and in private b/c of the bond we have.. :shrugs:
